This camera is awesome! It is small (which I REALLY like)and it does such a variety of things that I haven't tried them all out yet. The pictures are clear and one thing that is really neat is actually taking pictures in the dark and they turn out so clear... something contrary to human thinking. You can trim them just how you want them. I am looking forward to doing enlargements and seeing how clear they will turn out. I have barely touched on the capabilities of this little camera but I haven't had too much time to play with it, yet.

The one thing I don't like is the batteries go down fast... understandable!

I decided to buy this camera because of all it offered for the price... I am NOT sorry!

I feel this camera is excellant value, the only downside (if any) is the lack of a viewfinder. In bright sunlight under snow conditions it is harder to see the picture in the screen.Inside and in less bright conditions the screen is very clear and the camera is easy to use.

Over the Christmas period I took many photographs and they were perfect. The pictures are crisp and extremly clear the 7 mega pixels and the telephoto feature is great. Downloading into my computer was simple and the controls are easy to operate. I am very happy with both the camera and with Lindas-camera-world!

If you are looking for an excellant economical camera I recomend this product and the Vendor.

Dennis

I was looking for a semi inexpensive first digital camera that would be small enough to fit into my purse, but still take decent pictures.

This camera delivers that. I didn't realize that it didn't have a view finder and that takes a little while to get adjusted to, but the quality of the pictures are good and I am happy with the functionality of the camera itself.

Good buy for the money and for first time digital camera users.

Although, I don't own a 7530 I have the SVP CDC-7515 which is the exact same camera except a different style of the housing. The quality is quite good, with decent flash range and good exposure in various lighting situations. The lens and sensor are good, and the sensor uses CCD technology just like Canon , Nikon etc use. The menu takes a little while to learn.

Watch out though, and stay away from SVP's camera's with a "CMOS" sensor. In less than ideal light situations, you will have lots of issues with the quality. (I know, I went through it). Certainly not worth the slight size and cost difference between the two.

One last thing, if you use regular alkaline batteries with the camera it will eat them up like crazy. I strongly suggest NiMh rechargeable. It solved the battery problem. However, you wont have much warning before they die so keep an extra set of alkaline handy for emergency.

-- Thanks linda’s camera world for being an honest and fair seller.

UPDATE 01/07: about 11 months, the LCD of one of the cameras has died. I may think now about sticking with a NAME BRAND (ie: Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Sony etc.) next time. ;-(

UPDATE 03/07: Bringing the rating back to 5. SVP was VERY decent about repairing the camera. Things are good again.

Everything, it's big viewing screen, the pictures turn out so clear and the flash makes the person appear in the best light almost everytime with few exceptions.
My daughter has just had her first baby, and I gave her mine and I needed a replacement immmediately! Because I know the camera, I chose the same one again. I think this camera is awesome.
It was sent to me new and nicely packaged as from the manufacturer.

This digital camera has the quality features you would find in a camera costing twice as much. It is easy to use, has many extra features, and most importantly, it takes great hi-res pictures. I highly recommend this camera.

  RIPOFF!!!
Review created: 02/04/08

Silicon Valley Peripherals is good at one thing only and that is complete and absolute deception. The sell the most inferior product on the market and charge $30.00 in shipping for what actual cost is $7.00.

Please do yourself a favor before making a purchase with them and look up thier ebay trade name clippercutie or Silicon Valley Peripherals with Ripoff Report or Google.

You will be glad you did.

Any good reviews for this company were most likely generated by the company itself.
