Although, I don't own a 7530 I have the SVP CDC-7515 which is the exact same camera except a different style of the housing. The quality is quite good, with decent flash range and good exposure in various lighting situations. The lens and sensor are good, and the sensor uses CCD technology just like Canon , Nikon etc use. The menu takes a little while to learn.
Watch out though, and stay away from SVP's camera's with a "CMOS" sensor. In less than ideal light situations, you will have lots of issues with the quality. (I know, I went through it). Certainly not worth the slight size and cost difference between the two.
One last thing, if you use regular alkaline batteries with the camera it will eat them up like crazy. I strongly suggest NiMh rechargeable. It solved the battery problem. However, you wont have much warning before they die so keep an extra set of alkaline handy for emergency.
-- Thanks linda’s camera world for being an honest and fair seller.
UPDATE 01/07: about 11 months, the LCD of one of the cameras has died. I may think now about sticking with a NAME BRAND (ie: Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Sony etc.) next time. ;-(
UPDATE 03/07: Bringing the rating back to 5. SVP was VERY decent about repairing the camera. Things are good again.
