SEGA Bass Fishing (Wii, 2008)

As I read on many online reviews, of this game, it has not changed from the early versions which is was why I bought it. It offers enough challange, but is easy enough for all ages to play and not get frustrated from not being able to catch and land a fish. The only thing I do not like, compared to earlier versions I have played on other systems, is you can no longer move around freely at the various fishing holes. You are fixed in one spot, able to move left and right but not all over to different spots on the lake. I can easily get over that though since all the fish are now right around your location and you get more time to fish rather than drive the boat, especially beneficial in tournament mode.
I have not played any other fishing games but this one suits my gaming needs adequately. Controls are easy to manage, graphics are pretty good, plenty of options for lures and overall a good way to waste away an hour on a cold winter day until you can get out and do the real thing in the summer once all the ice is gone. It's a video fishing game afterall, not a role playing or adventure title.

I live in MN and i would prefer to sit in the comfort of my home and fish rather than ice fishing. The game is fun and it does give you a realistic experiance.

Purchased this game as a Christmas present for my son. He loves to fish, as do I and when we can't get outside to do so...we can always fall back to the Wii where the weather is always just right. The game allows you to choose from several different lures and fishing locations/seasons and would recommend this game to anyone who likes to fish.

Funny game for the whole family. Fun on wii. If you like fishing you will like this games. Great look and game play. My children and wife love to play it. It can be easy for the young and real play for the adults.

My husband bought my Wii for me for Christmas. He isnt into video games, but knows that I like them. The first night that I had it set up, he played this fishing game from 5:30 pm to 6:00 am the next morning. He only stopped to take bathroom breaks! He LOVES this game. He is a bass fisherman in real life and he said that the lures are pretty much spot on of what they really do. I gave it the rating of 'Good' because you cant drive the boat, it is only a one player game and there isnt an option of a female fisherman. Other than that, it is a blast to play!

Fun game to play for everyone, although it is tough showing and explaining a young kid how exactly to play the game. Love to fish and am passing it on to the little ones and the game just shows "ok" actual fishing skills. Easy way to keep a young boy occuppied with fishing without going fishing.

A great fishing game. There isnt a lot of good fishing games out there. This is one of the few i believe.

I bought this game as a gift for a fishing lover! From what I know he adores this game. I would recommend buying the rod to go with the game it provides more fun and excitement.

Upgraded graphics and menu items/interface. I've only played it a couple times, and no surprises, good or bad, so far. It's just what you'd expect if you've seen or played the game in the past. Other versions of the game had some stuff to unlock as you play, this version appears to be the same way. So I'm hopeful it will add to the game play as I progress... That's about it, hope it helps! This game is perfect for the whole family. The graphics are amazing and it is sooo much fun! My only complaint is that it would have been nice if the controller would vibrate when the fish bite like in some of the other fishing games. It does have a slight vibration but barely even noticeable. I would definitely recommend this game for anyone who loves to fish =)

we are a fishing family and my young boys actually learned from this game, great graphics and lots of realism, they have learned how to finesse the fish and have fun doing it.

Terrible game, not even half as good as the original. Almost impossible to catch fish, they come to the lure but won't bite. No vibration. Only a few different lures. Takes forever to reel in. Don't waste your time and money on this game!!
