We loved the idea of this seat! I would suggest practicing installing it before you take your vacation. You don't want to be in the airport parking lot figuring it out. It's not difficult but certainly different than installing a typical car seat. We love the portability, the shoulder straps are a bit close together. The only complaint we have is the adjustment factor. It is more entailed when adjusting it as children grow or if sibling swap seats on you. NOt difficult to adjust but not a quick pull of a strap! Over all great seat. Grandparents use them in their vehicles so they take up less space but are always ready for an impromptu visit! We use them in out pickup truck's jump seats where no other seat can be places these fit!

This item would only be recommended by me for short traveling, like on vacation. THIS IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR A REAL CAR SEAT!!!! I cannot stress this enough. Absolutely follow the height and weight guidelines as well. I would recommend that you would make shoulder strap adjustments, etc. at home. This is much easier if you have tried it out in your own car first(trust me!!). Messing around with getting it to fit, at say the airport, after a long flight, is not something you want to be doing.

Not a bad little seat, Good for Grandmas car for occasional use. I would only use in center of car as there are no sides to protect, bur child is held secure and will not be thrown about in the vehicle if you stop quickly or on in an accident. It same back and 5 pt harness as full size seat.

Disaster Waiting to HappenHello. . . SAFETY?!?! What about this little device says that your child will be protected in the event of a collision? There is no head or side impact protection at all. This "seat" is only marginally better than putting a small toddler in an adult safety belt. Please, please do not purchase much less use this item -- not for a short trip, not for a grandparent's car, not in a rental car -- just spend the money, suck up the inconvenience, make alternative plans, whatever, to make sure your child is secure in her seat. Geez.

Bought because Daycare requires it for field trips. But we also brought it on our trip to Florida. Packed them in the luggage and it was much better than lugging car seats!

ReviewI like that it cause you can fit it in your luggage and even in an over the shoulder duffle bag. It was the best find that I have ever found. It came in handy cause I'd traveled over the holidays and I didn't have to worry that I had to go out of the way and pay additional for a car seat plus a seat on an airplain.
