I bought this because I wanted to learn more about what some of my relatives went through.

Pros: I think this video is great because you get a first hand account on what happened. The people interview were either prisoners or guards who were part of the Khmer Rouge army. You really get a feel of how these people felt during those warring times. All the interviews are done in Khmer which is great so you can hear and interpret your own meaning rather than listening to a dubbed video. It is subtitled for those who do not understand the Khmer language. A great video on the events that took place at prison S21.

Cons: Sometimes it is hard to hear what they are saying due to mumbling but there are subtitles so it's minor. The video does not include too much history or other backgrounds on what happened during the Khmer Rouge - but that's because it's focus is on the prison.

There is another video which does a decent job documenting Pol Pot but it was dubbed and most of the people interviewed were Western scholars which in my opinion is a biased outside view of why this occurred.

I recommend this video for people who are interested in learning more about the Khmer Rouge from the people themselves rather than scholars who try to interpret the actions of the leaders to explain what happened.
