A killer is targeting realtors on Long Island who are involved in a condo development. Real estate agent Wyn Lewis is determined to find the killer--before the killer finds her.

Everyone's life in Waggs Neck Harbor revolves around real estate, and savvy Realtor and occasional sleuth Wyn Lewis is no exception. But in the recent rush to turn potato fields into multimillion-dollar condo developments, only a few have managed to come out flush every time. One of them is the wily Wyn. The other three have turned up dead.
The first to go was turban-clad, pearl-draped Petronella St. Cloud, the self-appointed doyenne of the deal, and a competitor of Wyn's. She met her grisly end in a crumbling, faux-English white elephant--one that Wyn herself was hoping to unload. But Wyn never would have wished to find the imperious Petronella as she did: her neck bound tightly with a pair of midnight-blue pantyhose. a parody of a smile on her much paler blue face.
Various locals--including a failed developer and the unfortunate offspring of a family who lost one of Waggs Neck's choicest pieces of property--become targets of the investigation. And even Wyn's sexy carpenter husband, Tommy can't resist pointing out how she profits from her competitors' misfortunes. Determined to defend herself and her profession's dwindling ranks--and unwilling to put her life in the hands of Pasko, an aggressive lug of a detective--Wyn tries to solve the murders on her own.
But when another Realtor is garroted, left with her hands tidily clasped over her midriff, the police approach Wyn with the idea of using her as bait to force the killer's hand. She demurs--until she finds some pantyhose obscenely wrapped around her steering wheel. That's when Wyn is convinced that it's open house on successful Realtors, and she's next. With only a little faith in the police's promise of protection, Wyn realizes that she must now make the biggest close of her life....
