Rustic European Breads from Your Bread Machine by Diana Collingwood Butts, Linda West Eckhardt (1995, Hardcover)

I was constantly checking this out from the library. When I decided to get my own copy I found that it was out of print and prices-even used-were nuts. I finally got notice from half.com that someone had it for a reasonable price and I snatched it. Most of the recipes are for the dough setting which means it is not as fast as the basic bread machine loaves, but it is still easier and makes more perfect textures. The variety in this book is fantastic.

I bought it as a gift for someone else and flipped through the pages - there seem to be some awesome recipes inside.

I have yet to make any bread as described in this book as I don't have a bread machine yet~next item to purchase on eBay! I've checked this out at the library a couple of times and knew i needed to buy it for the numerous recipes I want to try! It's out of print now and feel lucky to have it as a reference in my kitchen. Written by two women with passion & an enthusiasm for making"toothsome" bread~ not the usual air biscuit quality found on most grocery store shelves. I've tried making bread in the usual way ~kneading by hand with out the desired results. This book explains how to have the Bread machine do the kneading for you to get the long strands of gluten and a wonderful texture then taking the dough out to shape and bake in your own oven instead of using the machine.

So far I haven't received the second Rustic European Breads from Your Bread Machine cookbook, I was informed that it was sent on the 28th of February and so far have not received it. I have notified the seller and so far haven't heard from them.
