Rush - R30: 30th Anniversary Tour (DVD, 2005, Widescreen)

Even after thirty years, these gentlemen can still put on a fantastic show...because they know it's all about the show.
It's great that they can/do reproduce on stage what was laid down in the studio and draw a crowd into their "Peaceable Kingdom" even if it is for just a little while.
Die-hard fans will enjoy the foray into the deeper realms and new fans will sing along with the radio standards as well as discover hidden gems that did not get the airplay that they really deserved.
It is hard to cover thirty years of music in one night, but R30 shows that it can be and has been done tour after tour by three mere men, who combined, are one powerful force.

You don't have to be a RUSH fan to appreciate this DVD, but it helps. These three musical geniuses weave poetry and enlightenment into a whirlwind musical virtuosity. The guys rock with such force that there are very few who can compare to todays standards, ok maybe DREAM THEATER can kick it a little harder but that's my opinion. I love RUSH and have personally seen their concerts more than any other band. This DVD rocks because they don't miss a beat on any of the hits. The years of progressive rock would not be the same without RUSH and this DVD proves it!

Rush is my favorite group. I'm not a fanatic however. Some talent has been lost on the guitars and also with the ability to play the whole song as originally written. The added songs from other artists was ok, but would have rather heard some of Rush's oldies instead. The songlist is good, not great. I don't care about the crowd, that's not an issue for me. THe sound quality is good. The bonus material is questionable. The clips of old concerts is kind of cool as are some of the interviews. Sorry if it sounds negative. Overall, I would buy it again on E-bay, but not full price.

I bought 3 copies, one for me and two to give away. This is the older stuff I heard at the earlier concerts. There are a couple of newer songs but the song is perfect just as I remembered. A must for any RUSH fan.

I have been a fan of RUSH for all of their 30 years and they never cease to amaze me!! This DVD includes a fantastic concert and a bonus CD with interviews and some prime archive music videos/performances. I love the excitement of seeing them in concert live, but this is so great because you have the close-ups of them playing! Highly recommend!!

Great DVD! A must have for all Rush fans. There are a lot of extras with this DVD, including some old footage, and interviews, not to mention the concert which is great. A nice medley of tunes begins the concert, then a good mixture of new and older tunes. The several cover tunes are really well done. These guys still rock!

I loved the concert because they played some songs that I have not heard in previous concerts. I bought the concert DVD because I say the show back in 2004 and I wanted to have that enjoyment back when I saw them back then

The service was great and the dvd was brand new just like advertised, very pleased with the sellers response to all my questions. All the booklets and pamplets were enclosed, the price was more then reasonable and the quality was so much more then was expected, I am quite pleased with the promptness of the delivery and quality of the product that I am at a loss for word!!!!!! Definitely a return customer.

Ok, Geddy's voice cracked a few times, but!!!!, you try singing that high.

These guys have only improved with age, and gives us over 40's hope.

This is worth your time, great amount of music, all the favorites.
