Being just over 40 I was intrigued by the title of this book alone. I remember so well the days of my youth when I could run seemingly forever. I had thought those days were behind me and then I found this book.
It is not only informative but also inspiring with tips on how to get started no matter what age or activity level you are at. This book offers practical ideas on how to begin and absolutely no guilt if you are a fitness walker rather than a runner.
Information includes the authors personal stories, dressing for running/walking success, how to keep a running journal and clearly outlines all of the health benefits. This book offers the support you need to get started and to keep on going. Safety issues are addressed, time management tips and the keys to a healthy diet. This book has met all of my hopes and expectations. I have read it over and over and highly recommend it for anyone over, and even those under 40 who would like to either begin running or get back in the game. Learn how not only to survive being over 40 but to thrive.
