Synopsis Volume four of Runaways collects issues #1 through #6 of the second story arc of the comic book series, following the adventures of five teenagers whose parents belonged to the Pride, a supervillain organization controlling Los Angeles. Having escaped from foster care, the Runaways--Karolina, an alien; Molly, a mutant; Nico, a sorceress; Gert, psychically linked to her pet dinosaur; and Chase, heir to some serious technological gadgets--attempt to clean up their parents' mess by fighting the supervillains now vying to grab a piece of Los Angeles crime for themselves. Unfortunately, someone doesn't appreciate the Runaways' vigilante efforts: a mysterious figure offers a support group for ex-teenage superheroes a million dollars to get back into costume, track down the five kids, and return them to the social services system. Meanwhile, a dying version of Gert from 20 years in the future travels back to the present day, warning the Runaways of a boy with the potential to become the world's most devastating supervillain.
