A Runaway tale for all ages;An Overlooked Hit in digest

This Runaways series has been one of the most overlooked gems of the Marvel Comics world. While not directly tieing into the Marvel Universe, it definitely takes place in the superhero world, as all the characters are familiar with pop culture, Marvel heroes and super-villians.
After being cancelled at issue 18, Josh Wheeden "forced" Marvel to start it up again, after campaigning for the series. Now, it is running again in a digest form, perfect for backpacks and summer reading.
Take one dose of supervillians, one dose of teenage worries, one dose of L.A. nighttime paranoia, and a great writer who keeps you on the edge of your seat with unexpected cliffhangers and twists! This one really works, for all ages, teens, adults, parents and superhero fans without sinking to the level of slugfest superheroics.
The digests are hard to find, though they can be ordered still. If you have missed the individual issues, be aware that as of this writing, there are now five installments of the backpack trades. The first three collect the first 18 issues, and numbers 4 & 5 collect the second volume (or second season, as is now popular to refer to story arcs...)
I'm picking these up for my teenage daughter this summer. You should too, but only after you have read them!
