I first watched this movie in Enlish class, and absolutly LOVED it. Set to techno music the main character "Lola" literally RUNS the whole movie. Faced with many different challenges you see "all her options". Lola is my hero not only because she has flaming red hair, but because she RUNS this entire movie!! It's amazing. The only thing I would suggest would to get the English dubbed version. It's done pretty well. I couldn't keep up with the subtitled version. Too much reading and not enough focus on the action. I recommend this to anyone who likes differnt kind of moives. This one is not you're normal movie.

Lola and her boyfriend Manni have to come up with the money for a bungled smuggling job. Manni's idea is to hold up a supermarket but Lola asks him to wait 20 minutes and see if she can find the money.

There are 3 versions of the events, all involving Lola running through the streets of Berlin. She goes to her father who runs a bank, she robs the supermarket with Manni, Manni robs the supermarket alone, Lola gambles what little money she has. In between she comes across several people and you see flashes of what happens to the people she encounters. Not all of the endings are happy but they are very interesting!

Highly recommended, it is subtitled but you will not even notice - the techno music is a bigger presence, playing while Lola runs.

"Run Lola Run" is an amazing flick about a woman whose boyfriend must come up with $100,000 in less than an hour. How will they get the money in such short time? The movie shows 3 different outcomes that could happen. With techno music and flips from real life to animation, this movie is one that will surely get your own adrenaline going. I HIGHLY recommend this flick! And no worries about the sub-titles, you'll be able to keep up and get the hang of things!

A modern artistic classic. Life has muliple choices, and sometimes the outcome is determined by minor things that interupt the course of events. Great direction. This is a "must see" film.

I really love German movies...so I am little biased.
Lola Rennt is an extremely short movie in my opinion, but it does teach lesson about the choices we make effected our lives tremendously.

I love the movie because of though it is not a Hollywood movie, it approaches the level of a holly movie; also, perhaps because of it is not a Hollywood movie, it has much more plot and development then the former. This movie is really brain teasing and fun to watch.
BTW, I think the girl in the movie not only played her role well but also pretty!

Awesome movie.If you love techno beats in the background, this is the movie for you. Never ending exictement. The story is almost like the movie ground hog day with the story starting over 3 times with 3 differnt crazy/amazing outcomes.

I run across anything from eye rolls to nervous laughter when I ask if someone watches foreign films. Either memories of hyper intellectual French films from film class or the prospect of subtitles stand in the way of an otherwise rewarding experience.
If I could suggest to anyone tempted to delve into foreign films, this movie would be on the top of my list.
Having come out in 1999, the fantastic techno soundtrack and unique storyline are timeless in their appeal. Though it is possible to set your audio option to "English" dubbing, if you choose the subtitle option, the action whisks you through at such a pace you will barely notice that you're reading.
With Franka Potente as Lola and Moritz Bleibtreu as Manni, the audience is treated to a modern adventure segmented into three seperate outcomes to one story.
It's an adventure I'm sure you wouldn't mind taking over and over again. It's also the perfect springboard into future foreign films where an endless number of other stimulating adventures await you.
Finally, if you enjoy the soundtrack and NEEDED it as I did, you'll be happy to know it's available on TVT Records. With a surrealistic and energizing mix of various artists such as Tom Tykwer and Reinhold Heil, the album will be doing an extensive amount of running in your system as well.

This has to be one of the greatest indie type films ever! Action packed from begining to end with character's that are easy to identify with and a plot that takes you on a roller coaster ride throughout it all.If you are a Franke Pontente fan (as I am!! I love you Franke!!)this is one movie you need to add to your collection, and if you aren't then still, this adrenalin packed film is still worth adding to your collection, in a world of ripped off ideas and watered down films this one shines with it's originally and talent of its cast.Set with the beautiful city of Berlin as its backdrop, you see how every decision we make has repercussions not only to the central character's but to all they come in contact with, and just when you think you know how the story is going to end, you blink and everything changes, haven't you ever wished that you could turn back time and redo what you just did or change the decisions you made? Run Lola Run explores just that!

I recieved my DVD in new package as promised. I loved that I got it within 2 days! I will definally be checking out what he has to sell in the future!

From the first time I saw this film it held my attention. The possibilities of life's journey are timeless. The international flair makes it uber cool. And the techno beat keeps you going the whole film through.

It is one of those films to be watched many times to capture everything. Something new everytime I see it.

Run Lola Run is a wonderful movie that any person, who appreciates independent or foreign films, would truly enjoy. The movie captivates you with the persistence and determination of Lola, a daring young woman of Berlin.
Faced with an impossible task, and not a second to lose, Lola finds herself conquering her fears and getting rid of self-doubts. Lola is an eccentric and unconventional woman but has the common fears of love, relationships, and money. Money though, becomes a menacing problem when her boyfriend, Manni, botches up a delivery for his intolerant gangster employers. Losing a bag containing 100,000 marks when he takes the subway, Manni calls on Lola for help. We watch as Lola goes through all the choices she has to retrieve the lost bag or somehow get 100,000 marks and bring the money to her boyfriend. The main dilemma is time, she has only twenty minutes till Manni must meet his boss with the money. Every choice that Lola may choose to take, could lead to saving Manni, or end in disaster and tragedy.
Best thing about this movies is how it shows that every one of our actions are significant, how simply bumping into a passerby can change a persons life. Every turn in the movie is suspense! I found this movie exhilarating and inspiring to watch!
As for the negatives of the film I would not recommend for anyone who likes the normal explosion and gunfight action movies. This film needs to be watched all the way through, and with your attention, otherwise you may find yourself lost and confused.

I give this movie four stars!
