I thought it was a moving book about a journalist in Puerto Rico when life was easier and things were sure cheaper. Life comes out in color in his writings.
Much better than the drug crazed years. This tries to center it's story around a writer and the bar that they hang out in and the many talents off of a rum diet. A good read.

Puerto rico in its infancy as told dr. gonzo. a must have for everyones personal gonzo library. Dr. gonzo takes a job as a journalist for the only english language daily newspaper in puerto rico. the paper is threatened to be shut down. many migrant journalists trying to find their way at the newspaper and drinking a lot of rum.
