I am very pleased with this purchase, and I will buy other music this band has made based off of this CD. Good guitar and drum work.

  Excellent Black Keys CD

This is in my opinion the best Black Keys release to date..It is powerful and very thick ...You can feel the raw emotion through the guitar and drums of this two piece band...Right of the start the guitar and drum work shines..Along with Dan's growling howling snarling vocal style...It is hard to imagine how you could get a thicker sound out of a four piece band which is amazing because they do it with a two piece band...If you would take fuzz guitar mix it with some heavy percussion add in some blues and a pinch of grunge with some psychedelic rock thrown in for good measure and it would come out as The Black Keys Rubber Factory...

like the blues=love this album. this is a great album, not like the stipes, the keys are more classic blues sound, and writing. if you like the stripes, you will like these guys, but they are not a stripes rip off like some people think without listening to the music.

  The Black Keys' Rubber Factory
Review created: 06/09/06

I bought this album after downloading a few tracks off of the artist's site and loving them all. I haven't listened to their first album, Thickfreakedness, to compare, but regardless, Rubber Factory is absolutely incredible. Listen to any track and you'll be hard-pressed to believe that this incredible sound is coming from only two people.

If you've never heard their music before and are wondering what they sound like, imagine The White Stripes, but the drummer knows how to drum and there are no slow, experimental tracks (for better or for worse). The only complaint I might have about the album is that it gets a little monotonous and a lot of the songs sound pretty similar. Still, the $10 would be worth it even if the CD only had one track.
