Synopsis Amazing B&W illustrations enhance a simple story about a trip from the country to the city. Early in the morning, a group of travelers leave their quiet home in the country and make the long drive towards the city. Along the way, they see farms and wheat fields, and drive on the highway along the coast. After arriving in the city, they do some sightseeing and take in a movie before turning around and driving back home. At this point, readers can turn the book upside down and over to continue the story, retracing the travelers' trip back to the country. In doing so, readers will see the B&W illustrations from an all-new perspective--for on this trip the coast highway becomes a country road lined with telephone poles, the wheat field transforms into a rain storm, and the farm is a series of smoky factories.
Black and white illustrations and text record the sights on a day trip to the city and back home again to the country. The trip to the city is read from front to back and the return trip from back to front, upside down.
