Synopsis After being sold at the family's yard sale, Walter is put to use blowing up balloons for a clown who is bent on robbing banks, but he escapes and becomes a hero.
This sequel to the popular picture book WALTER THE FARTING DOG, finds Walter's family holding a yard sale. When a stranger offers 10 dollars for Walter, the family's father gladly sells his flatulent pet. Although Walter is sad to leave the family, he is happy when he discovers that his new owner is a clown--perhaps Walter can join his act, and thus bring happiness into the lives of others. The clown, however is not a happy clown--but rather an evil one who plans to use Walter's gas problem to help him rob banks. Will Walter be forced to join in on the clown's life of crime? Color illustrations accompany the text.
Walter the dog creates problems with his farts but becomes a hero when burglars enter the house.
Walter's farts are as intense as ever, and when the family invites Professor Kompressor, a specialist in "animal gas," to investigate, his gas meter practically explodes! Despite Betty and Billy's protests, Walter dutifully consumes a sherbet-colored orange and pink concoction every day. After a little adjusting, it seems to be working, and at first, Father thinks Walter is just getting fat. But it's really the gas is trapped inside him, making him bigger and bigger. He's even starting to bounce a bit. Soon, he actually floats away! Will Walter ever make it home? The third book in the best-selling WALTER THE FARTING DOG picture book series.
