I could barely put this book away, I enjoyed it so much. Excellent documentation and story. Anyone who wants to record their own family history needs to read this book! But more significantly, the book captures a people and a topic, namely slavery, that needed to be addressed. Finding your own family history, and feeling pride for those ancestors, can cure the ills of your own heart like no other medication.
