Rooster Cogburn (...and the Lady) (DVD, 1998, Snap Case)

I personally think that this is the most entertaining of John Wayne's impressive list of movies. Kate Hepburn is at her very best playing opposite Wayne and this flick is second only to her performance opposite Bogart in "The African Queen."
Although I already had this film on VHS, I absolutely had to have a copy in my DVD library.

This is one of my all time favorite John Wayne movies. IT also has the Late Miss Hepburn which only adds to the movie. Any John Wayne fan has to have this movie as it presents the Duke in his element in a perfect way. Also the movie is just good bottom line!

I love John Wayne and am collecting his movies on DVD. Really excited to see so many of them available here on Ebay. Will continue to shop and buy them as I find the ones I need.

The product was exactly as described and arrived very quickly. Being the sequel to True Grit, this movie was very delightful, funny, and entertaining. I recommend it for anyone who is a fan of John Wayne. It is an excellent example of Wayne's work in his older years, and has become a classic.

I purchased it because I enjoy westerns,John Wayne is my favorite in westerns.
The only thing I dont like about it, is that its not full screen.I thought it was full screen,but apparently it was'nt. Other than that the movie is fine.

My sister in law really likes this movie. Made a great birthday gift. The prices here are usually much better than the stores. Thank you for getting it to us so quickly.

I liked it because it is a classic movie that my husband and son-in-law always watch when it comes on TV. I decided to buy it because we have been looking for it on DVD for about a year and had not been able to find it. And, it made a wonderful stocking stuffer for Christmas.

One of the best John Wayne movies produced. I love Katherine Hepburn and John Wayne. Great addition to our John Wayne collection. The Duke has met his match in Sister Hula - she is a spitfire and gives Rooster a run for his money. An all time CLASSIC - a must see film.

I like John Wayne movies. He really did a great job in this movie. Of course, Catherine Hepburn did a great job as well even though she is older in this movie. But I bought it because my mother wanted it for her brother. He has cancer and he was looking for it in dvd. We don't know how long that he has in this life, and he is the only relative (mother, father, brother, sister) left in her family.

I purchased this movie for a friend that is an avid John Wayne fan. This happens to be my favorite John Wayne movie...so I knew if I bought for him, I would be able to borrow it from him. It was difficult to find in stores, but very simple to find on Ebay.

A great movie. I love John Wayne and this is one of his best movies. Rooster is probably my favorite charictor and this is a great example of The Duke at his best. AAA+++

I Love all of John Waynes movies.This is one of the better ones.My other dvd wasn't so sharp anymore so I replaced it with this one.

My wife and I love John Wayne movies and we especially love this one. We grew up watching John Wayne, so we enjoy seeing the old movies even now. The kids say "Yuk, not another western" but we don't care we love them. Thanks for the opportunity to buy this movie.

I always loved John Wayne. But when it comes to him and Katherine Hepburn,what a great combination. I laughed so hard, the comedy was just great. I love westerns. This is definitely one of my favorite westerns on my list.

I really liked the movie, it was fast paced and full of adventure. I bought it because it was one of the last movies that the "DuKe" made. I did not care for all of the bad language in it but that is Hollywood these day's! These were two of our best actor and actress's! It had a lot of beautiful sceneries in it as well. Wow, the mountaints and river was beautiful!

A follow up movie to True Grit, this western is full of what a great John Wayne western has to have: colorful dialog, good characters, shoot-outs, plenty of horses and beautiful panoramas. This may not be one of the most popular John Wayne movies, but it is certainly worth adding to your collection. I have had it in my collection for many years now. Hepburn gives a terrific performance, as does Wayne, and the story, while simple, keeps the viewer interested the whole way through. I am replacing my VHS copy with DVD, as I have worn the poor thing out!!

I purchased this movie because I am a John Wayne fan and a Kathryn Hepburn fan. The story is good and keeps your interest from beginning to end with plenty of action and humor.
