Romance of the Three Kingdoms IX (PlayStation 2, 2004)

RTK IX is dramatic flop for the series. First and foremost, it is very difficult to learn , it NOT USER FRIENDLY. Second, you basically fall backwards to the old format of having to chose an existing ruler which takes alot of the creativity out of creating your own character. Third, the passage of time is painfully to slow for this particular game. RTK IX goes in increments of Early Jan 189 Mid Jan 189 Late Jan 189.... In RTK X, you can ADJUST ANY AMOUNT of time you want to pass. Thats what its all about: Options and flexibility. Lastly, you don't even NEED to conquer all the territories to achieve conquest. All you need to do is conquer the minimum rulers in the scenario and any vacant cities are not counted. There really isn't any real excitement when playing this game. You don't really feel there is any purpose to it. I bought my copy off EBAY and then I sold it on EBAY some months later.

In short, RTK IX is dull, unmoving, tedious and silly.

I received your package a few days ago. But when I opened the box you had the wrong version inside. The box was correct, Romance of the three kingdoms IX but the booklet and the CD was version VIII

This game is one of the best Strategy games I have ever had the opportunity to play. I just wish they would come out with something similar for ps 3. If you are not up for strategy games this is not for you.

excellent strategy game and i'm familar with the game. would buy the next version again. i would also recomend it to others.

I bought this game after my son lost his game. Needed to replace it. Great game to play. It was one of his favorites. The price was good and couldn't find it anywhere else.
