The Rolling Stones - Let's Spend The Night Together
I liked the Stones live shows before the Steel Wheels tour. At Steel Wheels and beyond a conscious "business" decision was made by Jagger to duplicate the studio versions perfectly, leaving no room for spontaneity. On this tour, they were still loose , sometimes a bit sloppy, but they were live and had an energy that is missing in the later years. I find it far more interesting. There is alot of action, big stage, pastel colors, and the songs from Tatoo you and Some Girls are better than anything they put out afterword. Jagger had the moves and the youth to back it up.
It is one good concert movie. To me this is the last of the great Stones Live shows, after that they become old men trying to recapture their youth. If you like the Stones after Steel Wheels then maybe this isn 't for you. I think they kick ass in this one.
