Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Gold (PC Games, 2005)

I have been a faithful fan of the Roller Coaster Tycoon games since they came out. I have them all. I have to say that I got Gold for Christmass this past year and I am not pleased. I have waited to write this review until I was sure of how I felt because I needed the time to adapt... after almost a year, I still feel the same. The effects of riding the coasters is fun but not that fun. I find the new version to be more difficult to navigate than the first two. For example, placing a ride is much more difficult as it is hard to find a good aireal view of the park. Also, I preferred the old way of advancing to bigger and better parks than the career track on Gold. I am glad to see the sandbox feature, but overall, when I need my tycoon fix, I am more likely to be seen playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.

this is one of the best games i have ever owned. You can play it for hours and never do the dame thing again. Buy it now or you will be sry

The game is a little better then RCT2 becuase you now can ride your rollercoaster and rides instead of staring at them. The controls change a lot and I suggest taking the tutorials first. The game will seem different at first but you will get used to it. In this game your workers will now quit if not happy. The expansion lets you makes pools ect. and you can do fireworks :)

Need to upgrade your graphics drivers, otherwise it is very user friendly. My son would play this all day if he was allowed. Fun, interesting, exciting, and educational...

I've been a fan of the Roller Coaster Tycoon series for years. It's one of the most addicting games ever and so much fun! It's like having your personal theme park and you can ride the rides over and over again. I bought this game because I figured it was time to upgrade. I wish a little disappointed in the beginning. It is not as user friendly as the older series of the game. The format/layout is completely different that than older version. I almost put the game away completely, but I figured I'd give it another shot. After watching the tutorials, it becomes easier to follow and play, but it is still confusing and again, not as user friendly. All in all, I like the game and enjoy playing it. The graphics, sound, players in game, and rides are all much more life-like. I recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the series, but warn that it is more difficult. B+

Much better than the newer versions. More coasters and designs,scenarios and etc. The origional Roller Coaster Tycoon gold was my fav until this one came out. The pack includes one expansion..Soaked! Which features water themed parks and rides. You can also purchase the Wild expansion pack which features animal themed parks. Place animal enclosures and etc. in your park to generate more sales,ratings,and patrons. Hours of fun. Have not yet completed all of the scenarios so this should last several more months. Great value for the price since the sims are long and a lot of scenarios to complete.

The best sim game I have ever played the sandbox mode is amazing and the waterpark just wow the thigs you can do the first person cameras on all the rides and the photo booths if you like sim games this is a must own

This is a good game that uses the business world of amusement parks and then incorporate them into a good game. I have been playing this game for about 3 days now and so far im satisfied. I have been in competition with my girlfriend to see how is the bigger tycoon lol. Very good game for young people to understand business matters without them knowing (sneaky teaching). There are tons of creations from coasters to water rides tracks and animals. Your imaginations and possibilities are endless. Good game if I was nuts I would buy it again.

i like the game,but i think its to well advanced,some of the scenes are hard to figure out,i like rollercoaster 2 alot better,but it was worth the money i paid for it,thank you.

It's just a great PC game with lots of thrills and frills and fun for a child. My son loves it and it's perfect with all that it offers

The Format of the Game is Grand.I appreciate the Little People, However They Have undetailed little faces; they ALMOST look like 'LEGO PEOPLE'. I also believe the Graphics Could Use Some Improvement. Other than that, the game is Great; New Features, Parts, Format, Scaling, & Options.

i love that you can make your own park without paying for rides. i bougt this game because i had it before but it got scratched and i could not play it anymre because i would not work

It's fun making the roller coasters and this program gives many options. Having all three parks together makes it more fun.
