Funny movie, like a 'You Got Served' but on roller skates. You Got Served was wayyyyyyyyyy better. Sweetnesssss.

The wisecracks are funny. The relationship between Father and Son is heartwarming. The roller skating is awesome. Very feel-good movie. Great music from 1978. The acting was on-point. You get the feel of Southside Chicago in the late 70's. From the clothes to the props, to the language.
But the skating is the central focus of it all. If you are a skater, or want to be, you NEED this movie.

This is the best family movie we have seen in years. Humor, music, dance and a wholesome view of the 70's. No violence, no sex scenes. We have purchased one for the summer house, our home and for friends of my grandaughter who love to come and watch ours. The cd is also excellent.

I decided to buy this movie to add to my collection of DVD"S and I didn't want to pay full price for it.

This is, by far, one of my favorite movies! Great for the family. It's both a comedy and a very touching movie. The main story is about the roller skating rink culture in the late 70's --- ahhhhh, nostalgia!! The secondary story is about the relationship between a grieving father and son. Watch it...you won't be disappointed.

Great family movie, my kids watch this movie about once a day. This generations "Saturday Night Fever", on skates.

i looked for this movie in several different places but could never find it. i looked on ebay and of course, there it was, in like new condition in original package and for a great price. shopping on ebay has been mostly positive for me with very few disappointments. after i learned to research everything before i buy i have been completely satisfied

Roll Bounce was a surprisingly good movie. It's sort of a coming of age movie for Xavier (a teenager played by Bow Wow)who is overcoming the recent death of his mother. He also discovers that his father has lost his job and has been pretending to go to work each morning for the past few months. The one thing to get Xavier's mind off of the loss of his mom is roller skating -- until the neighborhood rink closes down. They go to the "uptown" rink and immediately are over their heads in a showdown with the best skaters over there.

While the family issues are serious and dramatic (Xavier and his dad have a big meeting of the minds on these issues), there is also plenty of humor, namely in the form of the skating scenes and Xavier's friends.

The music is awesome -- very retro due to the setting being the 70's. Some of the humor comes from "cutting down" others and also from sexual statements/gestures. There is also some cussing. Keep this in mind if you are purchasing this for children.

My grandson loves the dvd , we watch it over and over again.The product was shipped promptly.It is a very entertaining it has funny and serious scenes.

My family & I really enjoyed this movie, but I loved the music ! Reminded me of when I was a teenager & went to the skating rink !!!
