Rogue Trooper (Xbox, 2006)

I had never heard of Rogue Trooper before I saw it here on ebay. After seeing some good reviews on other sites, I took a chance on bidding on it and won. I was pleasantly surprised when I played it. For a game I'd never heard of, it is pretty awesome.
Rogue Trooper is a third-person shooter based on a British comic book wherein you play a genetically engineered soldier named Rogue. It is fairly simple to learn the controls. While it is a basic shoot'em up game, it has a few new things that are pretty cool. The gameplay is goal driven but the environment is free-roaming for the most part. Some might say it is too easy, but I think that is part of the appeal - I hate games where I keep getting killed in the first 2 minutes. Several elements of this game remind me of Crimson Skies, which I consider a classic for the Xbox. It also reminds me of Gun quite a bit. The plot is unique, IMHO, and the action is fun and addictive. You can run and gun, blow stuff up in multiple ways, snipe - which is very fun, and ride various vehicles while shooting/defending. There is also a multiplayer mode where two can play in a co-op split screen version of the game. If you have the chance to buy it, I definitely recommend it. Honestly, this game is better than a lot of games that I've paid fifty bucks for. So if you can get it for a good price here on ebay like I did, it's a bargain.

I like the timely manner in which I received the game. I was alos very happy to see the game was in excellant condition. Very impressed with the whole eBay experience. My son wanted this game very much and this was the fastest way I could find it.
