The Rocky Horror Picture Show (DVD, 2000, 25th Anniversary Special Edition 2-Disc Set)

This movie is amazing! It stands out as one of the greatest cult films of all times. The music, dancing, and singing are all superb. Below the surface, it is an edgy story about being different and how that translated in the time. On the surface, it is a story about an alien transvstite who creates a man "with blonde hair and a tan." If you are anti-gay... you may want to stay away from this movie. If you don't like musicals... definitely avoid it at all costs. If the idea of Tim Curry strutting around in full face make up and a corsett does not appeal to you, then run. However, if any of this piques your interest, then "come up to the lab and see what's on the slab."

I absolutely adore this film, it's so mad, glitzy, funny, and crazy that I never tire of it. Granted it's not for everyone, and you'll need a sense of humour and fun to fully appreciate it, but one you will get into it, it's just perfect. I Love The Humor In This Film True Are A Few Bloopers In It But It Is A Good Laugh, And Come On We All Need To Do The Time Warp Again....


The 25th Anniveristy DvD Has Many Great Features Like Trivia, Pop Up Video, Interviews, Bloopers, Deleted Scenes, and The US and UK Version Of The Film.

This movie is terrible. Really- it is but it was meant to be: Rocky Horror is a hilarious lampoon of 50s-60s horror and sci-fi B-movies. It is a genre-busting film with elements from sci-fi, horror, comedy and musicals.

Rocky Horror features Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meatloaf.

When viewed as a sci-fi or horror film, Rocky Horror is terrible. Its corny and contrived suspense and intrigue is just plain too dumb to thrill anyone but a toddler. An adult who has watched any number "B-movies" will laugh hysterically at the corny clichés, campy characters and an overdose of cheese.

As a comedy and genre-satire, Rocky Horror will leave you in stitches.

I strongly recommend the 25th anniversary edition DVD.

The soundtrack for Rocky Horror is quite strong featuring a young, trim Meatloaf.

Excellent version of this classic issued in 2000 on a DVD format! All the songs and stars we know are here and they sound "right". Absolutely great music but lacking in quality since many capabilities didn't exist when the original was made. Other versions can leave you somewhat disappointed but this is quality. I've bought a few different versions of this movie (including one from Riff Raff himself!) and each seems to be different in some small but noticeable way. If you had to select, this would probably be the best version to get. Please note that my reviews are based on the product only. At the time of writing, the seller is completely unknown to me.

The 2000 Anniversary Edition is a great version of Rocky Horror Picture Show. A must have. Lots of great extras and options for viewing.

But recently the eBay price on this version has been climbing, not so much due to increased popularity or so-called "rarity"... but due to the market on this version being cornered by one or more 'sniper resellers'. For those with rose tinted eBay inexperience, this means that recently someone is watching all of the auctions for this item, and doing last minute bidding (or sniping), and probably with automatic auction bidding software, to buy up all the copies -- and then re-listing them with a higher initial bid or high buy it now price. If we're not noticing the pattern, we can think this is the normal market pricing.

"So take a step to the left" and check market pricing -- this version is available on Amazon.com for under $25, and we know that eBay can often be a MUCH better deal. Watch a few auction first to look for the pattern, and watch the purchaser(s) of multiple copies reselling them by checking their listings. If we hold off a bit on buying from the sniper resellers at inflated prices and ignore the temporary higher pricing, the cornered market will fall. And this great flic will once again be priced more accessibly for all in the eBay community.

I am a HUGE fan of rocky horror, so i was extremely excited to find the 25Th anniversary on Ebay!! i love this movie! There isnt a bad thing i could say about this movie. For all those who havent seen it, well its interesting to say the least and very thrilling to say the most!

When my wife first had me watch Rocky Horror I was a bit apprehensive about it due to my lack of interest in musicals. Yet after watching it once I wanted to watch it again and again. It's very addicting and the music will get stuck in your head. Overall the acting is excellent the score is awesome and the storyline is so strange you want to keep watching. I can see why this is a cult classic.

Rocky Horror is one of the best movies ever made. It's success speaks for itself. How many other movies play in theaters weekly for over 30 years? Just Rocky. Warning! Rocky is not suitable for viewers under the age of 13 years of age. Warning! Rocky songs will get stuck in your head and play over and over for days.

I liked seeing what the Performers in the movie looked like in thier younger years.Its a musical movie. People would either like it or not like it. Its NOT FOR YOUNGER VIEWERS.I bought it cause it was all the rage to go to a theater and throw rice and bread at the screen for certian scenes.

Gotta love this stupid movie. Got this movie to leatn how to do the time warp for halloween party. No matter how weird this movies is you can't help but love it and watch it over and over and find new things in it that you never saw before.

This movie is a well known cult classic that is kinda on the odd side. Many people consider it to be of terrible taste and film making and on the other-hand it is one of the most known movies of all time.

Love it. I always wanted to own this movie and I saw it for a good price. Didn't realize it was a two disk special edition; that was a nice surprise!

This movie was originally $25 to $30 at most stores. I bought it on ebay for less than $5. It is in perfect condition. I don't think i'll ever buy movies from the store again unless they are just as cheap.

I loved the movie when I saw it a long time ago, but had forgotten about it. I saw it for sale and remembered how much fun I used to have watching it at the Bar and Grill on Saturdays and how everyone used to dress up for it. It has a great cover and inside with the movie and I think everyone should have it in their collection.

SO EXCELLENT! Everything about this movie is OVER THE TOP! In a GREAT way! You can't help but dive right into the heart and soul of it! All the way around, this an outstanding film on the life of George W. (whoops)

This is "The Best Rock and Roll Musical of All Time!" This two CD Set, with Bonus Features, is a must have for any Fan. It's fun! With the Musical subtitles, I realized, after all these years, I'd been singing the wrong words to One of the songs. The Movie just makes me smile and feel good every time I Watch it. Plus it is Tim Curry's Finest Performance!!!

This is my all time favorite movie, and watch it every year and now watch with my kids to share the best movie ever made, it is corny but no there can hold a cnadle to this movie. Of course what other movie has caused a huge midnight showing with people dressing up and playing the parts of the movie?? Any movie that can do that will never die and will always be a classic
