This is a pretty fun platformer that was put out by a first time nintendo 64 developer. The design philosophy behind the title is simple -- rather than build the platformer around the main character, the software house opted instead to focus on the interactivity of the 3D environments he travels. To that end, Rocket employs an advanced physics engine which allows the main character, a lovable unicycle-based robot named Rocket, to travel and experiment with colorful, platform-esque worlds with realistic gravity and inertia. Every object has its own set of lifelike attributes that must be "weighed" into consideration when solving puzzles.

although definitely not a very memorable game or franchise or whatever, rocket was interesting as far as platformers go. it presented new mechanisms and improved on older ones creating one of the most timeless n64 game ever.

I'm about 16 hours into this game, and I'm still loving it! Many puzzles require you to actually think about what you are doing before jumping into them! The gameplay is excellent, and will keep you playing for hours on end. The only thing keeping me from playing this more is lack of sleep!! I would suggest this game be in anyone's Nintendo 64 collection. It was a late release, and it's not one of the "sexy" games for the N64 (a la any of the Mario games), but is one of the best for the system. Go get it! You won't be disappointed!

Pros:
Big levels, Cool Vehicles, Innovative concepts.

Cons:
Camera angles, more enemies would have been better.

What happens when a Robot and a unicycle fall in love and have a baby? Rocket: Robot on wheels is your answer, which is a refreshing new title that puts a new spin on 3D platform games. After An amusement park operator leaves you watch his yet to be opened theme park, one of the parks stars Side show Raccoon goes crazy and steals all the Parks tokens and Tickets. . Rocket, who is a maintenance droid, is the amusement parks only hope. Along the way Rocket will receive many upgrades, such as an ice ray, double jump, a slam move and a grappling hook. Pros:
Very large areas, some nice textures, lots to do, cheap price

Cons:
Camera is a little off, cute atmosphere, fighting system.

So, you're out looking for a present for one of your friends. You can't figure out what to buy him--you want to get a gift is actually interesting, but you're such a cheap person that you don't want to spend a lot of money on it. My friend was in this situation, and he got me this game--probably the best Christmas present I ever got from him. STORY --- In Rocket: Robot on Wheels, you play as a Robot taking care of an amusement park. The owner leaves you in charge of the park for a day, and as soon as he's gone havoc springs up. It seems that one of the park mascots, a little ugly raccoon, has.

  Over-the-big-top cuteness

by: Sixpack -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Ingenious, Fun Puzzles

Cons:
Generic N64 Music

Right off the bat you'll notice that controlling Rocket is superb. Even the jumping is tight. When you start the game, Rocket only has a few moves available; he can move, jump, pick up objects with his tractor beam and throw them as well as attach himself to poles (via the tractor beam) and swing himself to other areas. Throughout the game Rocket will be upgraded by Tinker, and be able to pull off some killer new moves to help him on his quest. These include a double and triple jump, a slam move for breaking objects, a grapple function for reaching far away objects and a freeze move. Along...

Is Rocket: Robot on Wheels a rocketing success?

by: Marioario -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Originality, The graphics are good, controls are excellent

Cons:
music gets annoying...lots of repitition

Rocket: Robot On Wheels is not just your average platform game. The game starts off where the worlds greatest amusement park is about to be opened. But of course a platformer could not be a platformer without a villan. JoJo the racoon somehow manages to get out of his cage. He takes the walrus with him and dissapears. Your job as Rocket is to retrieve all of the tickets that Jojo has hidden, in order to open up more parks and eventually find Jojo. Rocket: Robot on Wheels will keep you going for a while but after a while you might get bored with the game. First of all there are 12 tickets...

Pros:
Everything!

Cons:
Music is repetitive

Rocket : the robot on wheels is ,simply put , the best platform game on any system ever. Congrats to rookie development team SuckerPunch and Ubi Soft for bringing out this awesome game. Let me start by saying that you'll quickly become addicted to playing this game - the action is THAT GOOD. The puzzles in Rocket are the most fun ever put into a game. I'm sure you've heard of the roller coaster editor in the first level, so I'll simply tell you that each level is STUFFED with well - thought - out puzzles just like that. Plus - the vehicles rule. SuckerPunch put in an awesome phsyics engine...
