Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection by Def Leppard (CD, May-2005, 2 Discs, Island Records USA)

This compilation kicks butt, primarily in the fact that it contains songs that are popular, and also containing most of the smaller hits on the second disc. Also the inclusion of Switch 625 on the first disc recalls to mind the High N' Dry album, and the "second" piece to the song. Truthfully, if you own Vault, the lineup is similar. But, it is still worth buying as the second cd is a necessary addition to this set, and the track lineup is excellent in allowing for people to seriously be enjoying the cd. from serious collectors to casual rock n roll lovers, this compilation includes all ranges of hits. BUY IT!

Great album... Highly recommend to any Leppard fan...This is a great album that has all their top hits from then to now on it.

I saw Def Leppard for the first time in 2005 when they went on
tour with Bryan Adams. I have never heard any of their music before,
so when I went to the concert I saw that they were very much loved
by Minnesotans and they said we were like second best to their
hometown in Sheffield England. So then that meant we were a great welcoming
crowd, and people REALLY loved them. They were loud, but pretty good.
I heard this collection came out in 2005, so I decided to buy it and get into the music I heard at the concert. I found it on Ebay for a very cheap price, and I am really addicted to this 2 cd set of all their hits. There
is a great variety of classic rock and 80's metal as well as some nice rock ballads that are so nice to sway along to. I am not much of a metal person, but their hits on here are extremely catchy with the chorus you just want to sing along just as every single person was at the concert I went to. However,
just a minor judgment of mine is that I previewed song clips from all of their other albums and did not care for a whole lot of them, so this collection is the best of all of their material to me. Joe Elliott's voice has a lot of different sounds, and it is cool when artists don't always sound the same. You got the Joe with the all out rockin' high voice, the steady uptempo rock voice, the calm rock, and his soothing soft voice perfect for rock ballads. I like variety in music, so this is an album you will not get bored with! I do not have much of anything bad to say about this collection there are many songs to get into. If you are a Def Leppard fan, or a fan of the 80's rock or metal, you will probably enjoy this album a lot! :)

I bought this CD because I did not have any Def Leppard in my collection. This collection is definitely GREAT! I can listen to it for weeks on end and not get tired of it. It ROCKS!!!

this CD covers all the songs that I enjoy in one record
back then it was cassette tapes or LP
Def Leppard just has it going on and I am going to purchase their latest release, YEAH!

There's no going wrong with this title. If you're a rock n' roll fan or a Def Leppard fan this is one you have to pick up. Included in this collection are songs from the beginning... 1980 to 2005. Rock Brigade, High N' Dry, Rock of Ages, Photograph, Pour Some Sugar on Me, and Let's Get Rocked are just some of the hits on the 2cd set. A new cover song is also included called, No Matter What, originally recorded by Badfinger. The Rock of Ages Definitive Collection is as good as it gets!

it was shipped kinda fast. got it about 10-13 days after payment. arrivee in good condition. ripped the songs off the cds and put them into my computer to load the songs to my Zune played the songs and most of them on the 1st cd run into each other or start to play then stop and start over again. I checked my Zune and found no glitches with it and then re-entered the songs after deleting them on my computer and still the same thing has happened.

LOVE ALL THE SONGS ON THE ALBULM. I BAUGHT IT BECAYSE I NEVER HAD ANY OF THEIR CD'S AND SINCE ALL THE GREAT SONGS WERE ON A TWO DISC CD I WENT AND GOT IT. IT WAS ALSO CHEAPER THROUGH HERE THEN IN THE SRORES.

I LOVE DEF LEPPARD!!!! I currently have Def Leppards top hits but it didnt contain all of songs I wanted. So, when I saw this cd and saw the list of songs on it, I had to buy it! This cd set has all of the songs that made Def Leppard who they are. Classic rock never fades. It only gets better.
