Rock Revolution (Xbox 360, 2008)

In the spirit of the famouse Guitar Hero series, this game rocks on and on.
There are not as many songs in this game as in the Guitar hero series, however the music is more on the newer side. There are a few tracks from the olden times, (the 80's) But if you like the newer stuff then this is your game.
The Fret interface is totally different from what you are used to with Guitar hero, and I must say it is a lot harder to play., as it goes by very fast and you can forget Star power.
This is a nice little clone, but not what you are used to. Welcome to a whole new venue.
This game is fun to play, but not worth the new price tag like the guitar hero series. Save your $$ for the next in line Guitar hero games.

ALREADY HAD WORLD TOUR AND WANTED TO SEE WHAT OTHER SONGS AND GAMES THERE WERE FOR THE DRUMS AND GUITAR... ITS GOOD.. BUT THERE COULD BE BETTER SONGS. OVERALL ITS OKAY.

While I bought the game cheap, without the drumset. I knew what I was jumping into. I knew this game was not Guitar Hero or Rock Band. There are some good songs, but all of them are cover songs. The drop down notes makes it feel like you have less time to prepare for what is coming up. Makes the expert setting a little challenging.

Other modes that are built in to career mode are so-so. Memorize a section of a song, and play it back without and notes showing up onscreen. Play a song as it speed up till the end and the poison note challenge, where you play the song but watch out for the fake notes. Those are all different, but not that great.

If I didn't buy this game for the price of a rental I would be upset.

this game is horrible i cant believe konami actually put this game into circulation i bought it on ebay for $5.00 with free shipping cause i own rockband and every guitar hero game so i wanted to try out this guitar game and its just not worth the money

The game is much more difficult to play than rock band and gh the star power - activation is not very friendly. other than that the game has good music a lot of repeats within the three systems (Rock Band, GH, Rock Rev)still it is different so i like it.

Great Music. Similar to Guitar Hero. I decided to buy it because of the price and because i like this type of game. I wish the guitar dispaly was a little bigger but overall a good game.

I've seen lots of bad reviews about this game but they usually come from people who have not actually played it or have not given this game any time.The concept is the same as Guitar Hero and Rockband games but it also has a studio section where you can create your own tracks.All the whining about this game is due to the 2d scrolling fret board so because it's not at an angle everyone has to moan about it.Once you get used to it it really not a problem and it actually gives you more time to see the notes because it's a full fretboard and not 3/4 and at an angle.I also heard moans about all the cover version,Well they really are not that bad,There are a few stinkers but really you don't notice when you are concentrating on the notes.Sure this is not as good as GH or Rockband franchises but if you have finished those or got bored with the tracks this game is a good alternative if you give it a chance and it's also $20.00 all over now.Rent it 1st see if you like it .

EVERYONE USED TO PLAYING GAMES SUCH AS GUITAR HERO AND ROCK BAND ARE BOUND TO LIKE THIS GAME, ALTHOUGH IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET USED TO THE GAMEPLAY(NOTES FALLING FROM ATOP THE SCREEN). OTHER THAN THAN THE SOUNDTRACK TOTALLY ROCKS.
