Roc and a Hard Place by Piers Anthony (1996, Paperback, Reprint)

I just get a kick out of the idea of a trial by jury -- Xanth style! This is a great book, and it follows through with the typical Xanth humor. It also shows how different cultures are often offended by things when they shouldn't be. In this case, a Roc said a naughty word, and someone who wasn't supposed to hear those kinds of words heard it - but didn't understand it because it was in another language.
