Robot Jox (DVD, 2005)

i saw this movie once when i was 8 or 9 years old, and have remembered it ever since, and noone that i told about it knew what i was talking about. now that i finally found it, i have watched it nonstop. great movie with all of the things you love to watch. it's cheesy, it's over the top, it's got some nudity, and robots.

what more does a man need.

THIS IS AN ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE!! I GREW UP LOOKING AT THIS MOVIE!! THIS MOVIE IS STILL GOOD AND NOW MY KIDS LOVE IT!! IT GOES TO SHOW THAT THE AGE OF A MOVIE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW GOOD IT IS!!

great movie,a step back in time compared to todays computer altered movies,actoin from start to stop.

It is very nice being able to own this in dvd format!!!! This is not a cheap copy it has a good menu and previews. There are no deleted scenes. Nice movie i once watched as a kid. Now i dont need a vcr to watch or own it!!! worth the price.

Robotjox is a great movie, which most people don't know about. Its story is about fighters which use robots to fight for land in da future like gladiators back in the roman days. For instance they compete for Alaska and its greats riches, but things go wrong for the main character Achilles as he competes against his greatest rival Alexander. Its a great movie about courage, redemption and for one man to do what he has to do.

The Movie is one of the Peaks in Techonolgy in its day and age. The Acting was spot on and the charaters did a Great job protrayign the storyline form beginning to end. 5 Stars!

love the 90's special effects. acting not so good, robots cool. no really known actors but the basis of the movie and plot and actors aren't the reason to watch its the pretty cool fight scenes . could of used van damme or steve seagall but its worth the 5 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great flick with funny 90s humor and a pg rating that would now be pg-13. the graffix are lack luster and the ending is the worst. but a movie that has a great couple robot scenes for the kids

This movie is a bit older but its a movie from my childhood that My brother N I would watch together all the time and now he is in Texas and I'm still in Ohio and i dont get to see him much.. So i have a sentimental side for this movie.

I saw this 1990-flick as a child, and I immediatly fell in love with it. Its set in the future, in a time where war is replaced by war machines. It got a corny 80s-style which I still love, after all these years. Its not for everyone, but if youre like me, you will love it!

The movie is somewhat scientifically accurate. For instance no fire or sound in space. The main bad guy is hilarious whether intentional or not. Good post-apocolyptic film. There is actually a good twist. Cool fighiting scenes. Kind of like the movie version of mech warrior type games. Decent special effects for such a slow budget and the fact it was made in 1990. I would almost recommend this movie to anyone but I feel it is a must see for the post-apocolyptic crowd.

Awful acting, but so 80s. A classic of stop motion animation. You can feel the star wars influence between Voltron rip off. Love the cheesy aspect but have to remember that it was done in the 80s.

I also saw this when I was a kid, and I loved it, I would rent it just about every weekend,could not find this movie anywher! Dont really remember so much what happens in the movie, but just wanted something from my childhood, not so great acting, and kinda cheesy stuff, but very fun to watch.

The best stop-motion giant fighting robot movie ever! A poor script, bad acting, and really lame costumes make some of this painful to watch, but the giant robots going at it in the crowd-filled arena make it all worthwhile. The robots are not guys in suits or computer generated, they are stop-motion models (think "Jason and the Argonauts" or "7th Voyage of Sinbad") that look great. The opening sequence flyover of the robot graveyard is soooooooooooo cool, it always brings a smile to my face. You have to suffer a bit watching this movie, but if you are a fan of sci-fi, it is really worth it. Why? Because it's Giant Fighting Robots!!!

This was a very good movie for the time it was made.(early 90's). Was looking to get a gift for a friend that he could not find.

80'S SCI-FI WITH THE CHEAP EFFECTS BUT FUN FOR KIDS WHO LIKE ROBOTS-
I bought it for my boys ... they wanted to know what I watched for Sci-Fi.
Trust me no Lucas Arts here - Seems like it was made on the next set over from Godzilla vs Mothra. Cameos from actress from the cosby show but no acting awards either . Just goofy fun robots shooting missiles and lasers at each other for sport -with the mild russian enemy theme.

I watched this movie in theater as a kid and have wanted it on DVD. I could not find it anywhere except E-BAY! It's def. a B movie, but worth the buy regardless. DVD was brand new and in great shape.

OK what you have here is a movie that had some potential but never ever even came close to realising that potential. The premise is sort of cheesy to start with. The charachters are not beleivable. Some like the Tex charachter are just plain stupid. you really have to wonder what they were thinking. However The Robots are cool and some of the fight scenes are fun so if you have a boring rainy sunday and you've got nothing else to watch its not bad. I bought it because I liked the movie "CRASH AND BURN". that was a good movie. This is not and most of the other Mech Warrior flicks are just like Robot Jox or worse. Get "CRASH AND BURN" on Laserdisc and watch on a widescreen set you'll be much happier.
