This Sci-Fi classic really spooked me out when I was a 6 year old back in 1964 watching it for the first time. Stranded on Mars with only a monkey as a companion, a U.S. astronaut must figure out how to survive on the lifeless planet. Featuring impressive special effects for its time, as well as strong production values and lots of atmosphere, this one is great fun for fans of classic movie Sci-Fi. Filmed in Death Valley by famed cinematographer Winton C. Hoch and special effects master Lawrence W. Butler. Get ready for meteor showers, alien attacks and the ultimate fight for survival! This movie is released as part of the Criterion Collection, known for high quality DVD releases. Original Theatrical Release 1964. Get out the popcorn and have a great night of classic Sci-Fi fun!
