Robin Trower - Living Out of Time (DVD, 2006)

I have been listening to Robin Trower for the last twenty years or so this is the first dvd Ive seen of him I stood there astounded by the first two songs before I remembered to sit down If you like Robin Trower or a Blues fan with a touch of jazz and some hard rock thrown in,this is the dvd for you. The only thing I did'nt like about it was that its to short. Cant say enouph about this dvd it was great.

This dvd is Robin Trower at his best!!!! His 60th birthday concert in Germany. Great audio quality!!! Top notch performance!!! I have a bootleg Robin Trower dvd from years ago and the sound quality is lacking. Finally one of the greatest guitarists ever available on a great dvd!!!!

If you are a Trower fan and can't get to a concert, this is second best. It shows a performer from the 60's that still rocks. Not a jump off the amplifier and screaming lunatic musician, but just a real talent doing what he does best. His music says it all. The interview at the end of the DVD gives a lot of insight into his life and accomplishments.

It's a great DVD. it showcases the talents of one of Rock's greatest
and underated guitarists. I don't care how old Robin Trower is,
he is better than ever and Rocks! If you are a true Trower fan,
you will love this DVD. All the songs are good ones, and your favorites
are probably here and performed superbly!

Great DVD!! Robin Trower's performance along with his bandmates is excellent. Reviewer who felt a need to state that the older musicians lose their technical abilities (or innovative inspiration for that matter) has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. Robin Trower has always been very good live and this dvd shows his extraordinary guitar skills along with his love of music. Buy it and you will love it!!

This is some album! I think it portrays Robin's true greatness on the guitar! He still can open up his fender and get the most out of it! Recommended!

Robin Trower is a rock guitar legend and his playing style very much resembles Jimi Hendrix. Since they arose out of the same Rock/Blues "cradle", it's not surprising. Trower's influence has been understated because he does not have a flamboyant personality (like Hendrix or even Clapton for that matter, he's very unassuming). On this DVD he reasserts his claim to the rock/blues/psychodelic guitar crown. Although he doesn't quite have the songwriting ability Hendrix had, he certainly has the musical ability. His band is very similar in talent to the band he had in the late 60's and early to mid-70's. It's also great to see an older performer pick bandmates (with the exception of the drummer) that are not 20-30 years younger than himself. Dave Bronze, his bass player for example is from the same era as Robin. Older performers may have lost a little of their technical ability, but they more than make up for that with their musical sensibilities (i.e. they are intimately acquainted with their genre's nuances).

always enjoyed his music, finally got to see him in concert. was excited to be able to purchase the dvd as now when I need a "trower fix", I have it at my finger tips.

It should be embarrassing to the younger crowd that someone at the age of 60 has more talent in their little finger (not to mention inspiration) that these "so-called" new bands seem to have. Robin shows that he's still got it - maybe even better than ever. Watching this DVD made me decide to pick up tickets to a show he's playing here next month. Could have a little better quality & I would have given it 5 stars, but it's still excellent, especially if you're a fan of good old fashioned "pedal to the metal" rock 'n roll like it should be!

Stratomaster still belongs to Jimi Hendrix, don't even go there!!! You know it's true and so do I!!! Jimi was the first and the best strat guitarist to ever put one on.
