Synopsis Robert the little mouse and his family live in a beaten-up old boot held together with postage stamps, Scotch tape, and thread. Winter's approaching and Robert longs to get outside and frolic in the snow, but his mother points out that "small animals like us don't like snow" and the boot gets sealed up tight to avoid the elements. But when the wind blows Robert's window open in the midst of a blizzard, he finally gets out and gambols in the snow to his heart's content. Then, when he decides to return, his home has vanished under the drifts. A "big animal" with fire-engine red fur and twinkling blue eyes suddenly whisks him up and drops the relieved rodent off at the old boot. And when the snow disappears next spring, a shiny new boot has magically appeared right next to the old one, a gift from Robert's savior--Santa Claus. Full-color illustrations accompany the text.
Robert, a little mouse anxious to experience snow, falls out of his bedroom window in his family's boot home and has a snow adventure.
