Sega Genesis Game: Road Rash II

this game is not for the faint of heart. haha just joshing you. This is one of my favorite video games ever. I can remember when i was 6 or 7 playing this video game with my father. This video game brings back memories for a lot of people i bet. Sentimental value i guess.

The game is 16 years old so the graphics arent like todays. But for its time it was a very good game. The soundtrack is awesome as well. If you like this game or are interested you can try all of the road rash titles and even try a game call "Desert Strike, Return to the Gulf." Those Titles are just as fun as this Road Rash II. Thanks for reading!

Another great game For the Sega 16 bit era

I loved this game personally. It can be very addictive. There isnt many games like this wear you can race and kick butt Literally. Honestly the only gripe i had was that all the bikes while racing all looked the same except color. All in all a great game to own and play.

  Amazing

This was one of the best games for the Genesis. One that every fan of the Genesis should own.

The game is about biking, with 15 opponents, on tough winding courses on a 2D plane. You dodge cars, attack and fight other bikers, and altogether have many oh WOW moments to last a lifetime. The game is very well crafted.

Gameplay: If all one would judge a game on was gameplay, then this would be stellar. Providing you with 15 opponents, each with unique personalities, Road Rash is stellar. You fight through the pack, gain a big weapon, and take people out. Nothing can be more fun. If you win, you get a good animation. If you lose, you get a funny one. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Graphics: This is where the game hurts. By today's standards, the graphics are terrible. If you enjoy the gameplay, then the graphics are a minor detail, but they severely hurt the experience. A modern version with this gameplay would be wonderful, but alas, these are the graphics it has. It gets the job done, but sometimes it looks pretty darn bad.

Sound: Another thing that hurt, you have to choose between engine noise and music. Both are annoying, but music is less annoying at a low level.

Overall: Gameplay makes this game, but graphics and sound are tough by today's standards. That is really too bad.

  Road Rash II
Review created: 04/04/07

road rash 2 is an awesome game. You are on a bike trying to get through five stages to get to the next level. Sounds easy enough right? Oh i forgot to mention the unpreditableness of the course and the fact that the other riders are constantly trying to knock you off your bike with baseball bats and metal chains. If that isnt enough then there are cows in the road, deer, and the occasional police officer trying to arrest you for speeding.

Road Rash 2: Party time for meanies on crotch rockets
Review created: 07/17/02

Pros:
Fun & addictive, even in solo mode.

Cons:
Can be somewhat difficult to complete.

Motorcycle games were never really a big thing on the 16-bit. First off, we had a rather choppy title called Super Hang On but it wasn't until the Road Rash series came along that people started paying some real attention to such games. The reason to this was simple enough. Road Rash was way different from other motorcycle games before it. Instead of being another pointless motorcycle game, it had something most racer type games didn't. Road Rash was really a cross between a beat-em up and a racer, a concept which was rather new

Road Rash II (Genesis) -- still fun a decade later!
Review created: 08/03/02
by: HawgWyld -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Sense of motion comes across well; addictive; innovative concept for Genesis.

Cons:
Rotten multiplayer mode; touch controls; tough to beat the snot out of opponents.

The long-lived Road Rash series, of course, is little more than a motorcycle racing game with a little extra twist -- the player gets to beat the crud out of other racers. That's right. Smack other riders with a fist, club or chain. Kick riders off their motorcycles. Run folks into oncoming traffic if you want. It's all dandy fun that appeals to the violent little punk that pops up in most folks from time to time. While this game looks like dog poo when compared with the fantastic Road Rash titles for the Playstation, this is one great little game for the Genesis. Why? The animation is smooth.
