Road to Avonlea - The Complete Seventh Volume (DVD, 2007, 4-Disc Set)

I bought this DVD set to finish the whole Avonlea series that is the most wonderful of all TV series for families to view. This one was just as good as all the rest with plots, scenery, landscapes, beautifully correct period clothing (a real bonus for us period clothing buffs!), and exceptionally good acting from all ages. I like how it has all ages together, facing life and all that it brings, just like it should in an extended family and community. I did experience life like this when I was very young in a rural setting and I wanted my children to see how wonderful it was and they have delighted in it ever since we first started watching Tales of Avonlea on the Disney Channel in the 1990's. They have grown up with the show as we have been able to watch it (collecting DVD's) and they have loved it just as much now as when they first saw it! Can't say that about everything!! It is the best in TV that there is.

I bought it for my daugher as a Christmas gift. She is collecting the whole set. We all enjoy watching Tales of Avonlea because it family oriented. The whole family can watch without being afraid of the content. We have not opened the package yet, but I am sure it will be of excellent quality.

I decided to buy this series because I love the old fashioned shows and the productions by sulivan entertainment. I would recommend any of the series because they are great for the entire family.

ive loved this show since i was a kid.its a great family show,with great charcters and plots.esp the romances involved :).the only thing i dislike about this season is its the final season,and they left alot of loose ends.i wish they wouldve planned a better ending.the wedding was very important but everything happened too fast,and i wanted felix and izzy too have a clearer relationship.but i still love it! "return to me" is one of the best episodes ever in all seven seasons.enjoy!

The Road to Avonlea series is tops in my book. The characters are true to life. The plot, though sometimes predictable, shows growth in those who live and work on Prince Edward Island. The cinamatography is breathtaking. Often I'll want to stop the action to view the still prints of the stars in their natural surroundings. The scenery and change in the seasons are stunning. We've watched Sarah Stanley, Velicity, Felix and Cecily King grow to young adulthood and even experience a romance or two. The prickly, old maid school teacher Hetty King has a mellow side, and as the series progresses, she blossoms into an imaginative fiction writer. Those who love good, clean family fun will cherish this series for a lifetime.

I love this series and recommend it to anyone with girls. Start with season 1 and just keep watching! Love it!
