Riot! by Paramore (CD, Jun-2007, Fueled By Ramen)

I love the sound of the music. She is a great singer and very talented. It's great to hear a woman get down!!

So the sound is one we've heard before. So there are no earth shaking, ground breaking elements to this music. It has been too long since an emo album (or any other for that matter) has grabbed our attention with tunes that sound fresh enough that we can listen and enjoy for some time to come. Hayley Williams and company rock! Sure, there will be comparisons with other young female vocalists, but few have her power and control. Soon the comparisons will be to Hayley. Watching the videos of the tracks on this album only increases your appreciation for both Ms. Williams and her band mates. There is a charm to this band and she is adorable! They are on it!! They are having fun and getting their messages out on an exceptionally clean and well produced set of songs. Worth the money, and likely to remain in your CD player or on your MP3 player for awhile, let alone in your collection. Can't wait for what's next!

Paramore is a great band that represents both aspects of punk and pop very well. I think that Riot! really shows that off too, with their catch upbeat tunes of songs like "That's What You Get", to their crisp and rugged rebellious beats on songs like "Born For This", I recommend that any music lover get this album to add to their collection. There won't be disappointment, and there's Paramore where that came from...

This album was given to me, *used* by a friend, and I know exactly why.
Overly generic, two songs were actually catchy, but in that "Ahhhh I hate this song" catchy way.

I gave this cd away to my girlfriend, she gave it to her friend, and I will assume it is still being passed around.
Probably somewhere in Pensyltucky by now.

Don't waste your money.
I hope this trend fades soon.

This is my first Paramore CD after hearing only 1 or 2 of their songs on internet radio. I was not disappointed. I found this a pretty good album and like the rest of the songs. This group has lots of good energy.

riot! is a great CD, it has great songs by a great band. :) Paramore has great mnembers in it's band. Haley Williams and Josh Farro's lyrics never cease to amaze me. This is the bands second album and it is amazing. The band's amazing music, combined with Haley's amazing voice, and the meaningful lyrics are just wonderful.

this cd is one for the fans. the cd has pararmores newest singles and all the songs are great to listen too. this cd is worth it

Paramore’s “RIOT!” is surely a great album. Aggressive at times, but generally can be smelled here punk-rock climate of Southern USA. Gladly to say, all singles released from this album are powerful and full of energy – worthy representatives of this composition.
Fourth track “Misery Business” contains rather harsh and sharp lyrics, but that is what is valuable in Paramore’s music. Lyrics are surly their strongest advantage. The voice of vocalist in “crushcrushcrush” is confident and full of rebellious swagger. Her vocal is also deep, which perfectly suits the albums climate. Perfect example of it is a track “Hallelujah” – as can be heard, the word “Hallelujah” was sang really originally. Next to punk-rock tracks, there are also pop-rock like “When it rains” or “We are broken”. However, for someone who does not like the feminine vocals, CD is rather hard to go through.
Yet, let not say that the Paramore’s success only lies in hands of the vocalist. The work of drummer in “Let the flame begin” is quite impressive. What’s more, the guitar riffs are worthy of great applause – they are really catchy and simple to try to play them by yourself. But the simplest things attract the most of our attention. And, not to neglect it, “Let the flame begin” have a powerful lyrics, which is why I enjoy this whole album so much.
No matter how look at “RIOT!” is seems a adorable composition of punk-rock rage – odd comparison? Listen to the album and tell by yourself.

The music is new and really great!! I bought it for the song "That's What You Get" and I have fallen in love with Paramore and this great cd!

Hayley is a great talent, her voice is amazing and I love the CD! I am totally into girl lead singers in rock bands and she has the voice and the look for it.

I love this CD!!! Riot! by Paramore is a great CD. I like all of the songs except for the first three (probably b/c I skip over them & go straight to the song Misery Business). Overall, it is a great CD that I would buy again!
