John Wayne is John T. Chance, a sheriff facing an army of gunmen dead-set on springing their murderous side kick from jail. Packing solid heroics and a strong emotional core, this classic from director Howard Hawks captures the legendary west with a stellar cast in peak form. Also starring Walter Brennan, Ricky Nelson, and Ward Bond, this is one of the Duke's best. Many have tried to imitate it, but none have even come close to this western classic. For fans of the Duke, this is not to be missed! Special Features include a Press book, Dell comic book and Lobby cards. Disc One contains the remastered feature film, commentary by John Carpenter and Richard Schickel (renowned director Carpenter and film critic Schickel explore how this legendary Western was an extension of Hawks’ own personality and why it’s considered such an influential classic today), and a John Wayne Trailer gallery.
