Rio Bravo (DVD, 2007, Special Edition)

The ultimate John Wayne role. The same could be said for Dean Martin as a drunk and Walter Brennan as the greatest movie "Old Coot" of all time. As for Ricky Nelson, his acting is entertaining because it is so bad, its good.

This is one of my favorite John Wayne westerns (True Grit & The Cowboy's being my favorites). Walter Brennan is a hoot as the crusty old deputy, and Dean Martin carries his role as the town drunk as well. As for Ricky Nelson's performance, he kind of looked like a duck out of water throughout the movie, and I'm sure he kept his day job in reserve while filming took place. My favorite sceen is when Martin, Brennan, and Nelson sing together in the jail. All-in-all, this is a very entertaining DVD set, with great Special Features. By all means give it a look!

This is an all time classic movie. Watch this movie and just as important, LISTEN to this movie. Some of the greatest lines in movie history are found in this movie. I only wish there was a rating that is higher than excellent.

This has been one of my favorite movies for as long as I can remember. It's a slower pace than today's action packed movies, but it has the storyline and characters to make it work. It still has all the essential elements. Gun fights, a murder, bad guys, love interest's and the underdog good guys! This will truly be a classic for all time. God Bless you John Wayne!

I got this movie for my dad for christmas. (very big John Wayne fan)I was very happy about the low cost of the movie and the shipping and handling. I had been looking for this movie in stores but was never able to find it.

Another great western with John Wayne. Dick Martin did an outstanding portrayal of a drunken deputy trying to get sober. It's worth watching!

This movie has been one of my favorites for years! When I saw it offered at such a good price--lower than Walmart, where I had been contemplating purchasing it--- I couldn't pass it up!!! This is one of my 'go to' movies for a rainy day!! The relationship between Wayne and Martin is very believable!! And, who could not enjoy the singing with Nelson and Martin!!! Great escapism!!

My family LOVES this movie! The friendship amongst the main characters is very funny & very real to life! The good guys win. The bad guys are put in their place.

Rio Bravo was very clear and audible. Very interesting movie and you cannot go wrong with a movie with John Wayne in it.

This is a great movie. I had never seen it and enjoyed it very much. Dean Martin is excellent and Walter Brennan is a hoot. He will make you laugh til your sides hurt. John Wayne is always good.
