Ringu 2 (DVD, 2005)

Story: The sequel to the Japanese horror sensation RINGU, RINGU 2 picks up right after where the first film left off. While the police and scientists try to explain the mysterious and deadly hauntings of dead Sadako, Mai Takano attempts to find where Reiko Asakawa and her son Yoichi are hiding, as they are the only ones to have survived an encounter with Sadako's vengeful spirit. But things grow more complicated--and ominous--when it appears that Sadako's still stalks the living, and that Yoichi is developing strange psychic powers that may link him to the ghostly girl. RINGU 2 was, like the first film, directed by Hideo Nakata in a manner that relies more on atmosphere and the slow build of suspense than gore and sudden frights.

Comments: Comparing this movie with '' The Ring 2 '' ( american version ) you don't see many familiarities unfortunately.

The American version is based on this movie, but i hardly recognize any part of it.

In this movie they are more concentrating on the what i believe to be telekinetic energy that gets released and they clearly show this in examples with a piece of paper that absorbs water, and when they conduct a experiment near a swimming pool something amazing happens.

I definately am going to see this movie more because i don't understand a few parts of the movie, a very complicated movie this one.

UNFORTUNATELY i don't find this one that scary as the first '' Ringu '' ( japanese version ) that one in my own opinion is better then this one.

A good movie, but i had expected more of it sadly. B+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
