Riddick Trilogy (DVD, 2006)

I love these two movies, however when i was looking at this item I the title trilogy leads you to believe that there is some middle movie in the series that fills in the gap btwn the two movies. However the in between movie is not a movie but a cartoon. I wanted to watch it but i couldnt watch an hour long cartoon.

Excellent bonus features and gives hints to the upcoming sequels. Pitch Black is by far the best. Dark Fury is an animated short that ties the 2 feature films together. Ironically, the only lacklucter part is the big budget Chronicles of Riddick. Somehow the big studio ruined a great Sci-Fi Mythology but allin all it was a fun 5 houts spent. would recommend :)

The Chronicles of Riddick Triology is easily one of my favorite trilogies, and the first of the series, The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black, has been my favorite movie for many years. This movie is what introduced me to Vin Diesel and his many great movies. The only movie of the trilogy I did not like is The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury because it is just a short animation. Even though it is a necessary movie to fully understand what happened between the first (Pitch Black) and the third (Riddick) movies, I just did not like seeing the characters animated.

Other than that short 30min movie, if you are a big Vin Diesel fan like I am, I definitely recommend watching this trilogy.

This was a good buy. The dealer was great! Arrived quickly and was in perfect condition. I bought this trilogy because it's one of my favorites. All 3 movies grsp your attention immediatly and hold it well all the way through the trilogy.

My wife love's these movies and has seen them many times! The unrated version has added so much it's really made a old fav much better. On top of that the wide screen and special features are well worth it!

The 2nd animated short movie ties "Pitch Black" and "TCOR" together well. The travel logs of Johns and Toombs are a must for die hard fans!

Right off the bat, I love sci-fi. But the character of Riddick stood out the first time I watched Pitch Black, first in the triple feature. But when I got to see Chronicles of Riddick, third in the series, the impact it had on me was cemented. They were now two of my favorite movies. Now, I'm generally leery of animated movies(not my favs). But again, when it came to the "Riddick mystique", I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I was greatly impressed with the quality of the animation, and the movie held my attention from beginning to end - not the easiest thing to do with most movies! When I saw that the trilogy was for sale and at such a bargain price, I jumped on it, and I'm not at all sorry I did. I definitely recommend that anyone watch all three.

The Riddick movies are just awesome movies in general. I think my absolute favorite...well it is a tie between the Cronicles of Riddick and Pitch Black. Each has their own unique characteristics that makes it awesome.

This is a must have for any serios dvd collector riddick is outstanding very fast paced actioned packed movie and if you like this movie check out the chronicels of riddick my personal favorite movie.

Anyone who likes Vin Diesel will love this series. I didn't even realize that there was a second animated movie in the series. Can't wait to see it. The first and third movies area AWESOME!!!!!!

I'm real surprised this movie didnt do well in the theaters but then again there are tons of great movies that dont. This trilogy is a great sci fi fantasy movie and gives the genre a new kind of twist! Not all sci-fi/fantasy movies are good these days so this one was a real breakthrough.

The movies come in two DVDs and have great realism and animation parts. I enjoyed Vin Diesel's grit and the whole story-line. The movies may have been a tad predictable at times but overall tney were quite entertaining. I would recommend it to anyone who likes grown-up animation and action flicks.

This collection is one to own here. Some great extras and the inclusion of an animated tale of Riddick makes this collection one of a kind!!! If you liked any off the Riddick movies..You must own this...Special features are fantatic and fun to watch..

I already own the regular full length movies & wanted this to complete my collection - I also found I liked the anime version but felt it was too short - would have liked something with a longer story going into to Riddick's backround on Furia.

This series was designed to go on and on until the STUPID box office shot it down. A great concept, the greatest anti-Hero since Snake Plisskin, and all comes to nothing. Get the trilogy (box-set) and save some money, but GET IT. You won't be sorry and you'll be left wanting more, which we'll never get.

The is a great movie for anything who is into sci-fi. This is a sci-fi adventure with a wonderful storyline of a criminal who uses his abilities to save himself and others around him. The trilogy itself is a three-part story all surrounding the same situations, just within different time periods.
This, in my opinion, is one of my favorites movies during the early stages of Vin Diesel's career. This is the trilogy that set the standard for his career, and the starting point of hopefully a long line of movies in the future.

i've always liked riddick when i saw "pitch black" he's awesome. and he makes the movie the movies sit at the edge of your seat.I would buy every movie he been in even if they were comedies.

My husband loves this movie.A real SF future shoot em up and bad machine guys vs the everyday guy saves the everday family(his family).It is dark but all of the guys Love it!
