    I bought the KR-5 because it takes the Pentax K lenses I already have. It will be a back-up to my Pentax cameras. It is such a basic camera to learn how to take pictures. It has always been a good buy, even more used. I may give the KR-5 to my son when he gets the inclination for real photography (apart from the point and shoot digitals).
