Rhythm & Romance by Kenny G (CD, Feb-2008, Concord Jazz)

I love Kenny G's music and I love Latin music so this CD was just exceptional. I got this CD for my father for father's day because he is a bigger Kenny G fan than I am! Very amazing CD. A must have in your jazz/Latin collections.

A soft Latin and Romantic CD... This is Kenny G at his Best. A good mixture of songs and rhythms.Totally delightful, a Must BUY

Kenny G has done it yet again. He can take any kind of rhythm or beat and create something amazing with them. He has rewritten latin jazz in a whole new way.

Very good but very different from the likes of Kenny G. This album has a salsa feel to it so if you like Latin music, you'll love it. If you're looking for the usual somber Kenny G, this is not it.

What's to review? It's a typical KennyG album, not his best but not his worst. Pleasant beats and pleasant enough listening.

Great CD, especially if you are a Kenny G fan. Listen to a lot of music during my business traveling, and this one is an easy listening one with some upbeat pieces to add to the mix.

I saw a brief advertisement for this cd on t.v. and decided to purchase it via ebay. I am very happy with it as it has a toe tapping tropical feel.

I love this CD because it has a Spanish kick to it, & I always loved Spanish Jazz music. I decided to buy it because it was a treat for myself, I felt like having it for myself.

Since i was not aware the item was coming from Canada I was impatient as I am a very quick payer when I purchase something and expect to get item in timely manner. Now knowing that it was coming from Canada, this would explain the delay. Otherwise the transaction and price was good and fair.

Can't get enough of this CD.. The title really speaks of what's in this album. I hope there'll be more of this kind soon. Highly recommended and truly a "must-have"

Kenny G is a musical genius whose music bridges the gap between races, genders, and nationalities. His music has an alluring quality, combined with a seductiveness about it that has the power to compel unbridled passion.
Rhythm & Romance has a total of 12 tracks. My favorite is track 8, "Besame Mucho," which translates to "Kiss Me A Lot." It's mellow and enticing. It lingers in the senses and causes the recesses of the mind to crave romantically inclined situations.

I also have to acknowledge the other band members Walter Afanasiefe (piano), Ramon Stagnero and Pablo Hurtado (guitar), John Pena and Nathan East (bass), Alex Acuna (drums), Enrique Martinez (accordion), Michito Sanchez, Rafeal Padilla, Paulinho Da Costa, and Ron Powell (percussion), Gary Grant and Dan Fornero (trumpet), Bill Reichenbach and Andy Martin (trombone), and Dan Higgins (saxes).

Individually they all sound great but together they are phenomenal. They compliment each other well... kind of like Spanish guitars and amorous ballads.
