Album Notes
Heavy, heavy doom metal from the influential Pentagram, this includes "Living in a Ram's Head" and "Bees."
Originally released in 1999, Pentagram's umpteenth comeback record, REVIEW YOUR CHOICES, shocked the underground metal community upon its release by the simple fact of its existence. By 1999, through decades of turmoil, Pentagram itself had no right to exist--or to rock as bracingly true to form as they do on REVIEW YOUR CHOICES. Reduced to a duo--original singer and founder Bobby Liebling and multi-instrumentalist Joe Hasselvander--the band rips through a set of new songs and revisited old songs from their mid '70s heyday. Hasselvander plays every instrument on the album and startingly recreates the classic Pentagram doom sound with a vicious accuracy as Liebling drops nuggets like "I'm running away with myself/I think I ran a little too far" in the Satanic stew. The album was reissued with bonus material by Seasons of Mist in early 2009.
