Written in 1983, this was a little dated. With the many advances in technology since that time, the hands-on parts were not very useful from a medical person's (I'm an RN) standpoint. The basic anatomy and physiology sections, however, and the explanations of the dialysis process were basic enough for my layperson husband, who is a new dialysis patient.
