Revenge of the Nerds (VHS)

It doesn't get better than Revenge of the Nerds. Revenge of the Nerds is classic humor, sarcasm, 80s movies, etc. Old School and other movies are excellent - but their roots are really with the original Revenge of the Nerds (an aside, the series really started to decline after the original title - Revenge of the Nerds I is outstanding and ranks highly on my top 10 comedies and my top 10 movies of the 80s. Revenge of the Nerds II is a solid film 4/5 - but clearly not the genius that marks the first release. Revenge of the Nerds III is weak and pretty terrible... and Revenge of the Nerds IV didn't happen in my mind... in this case its pretty similar to the Rocky series, great until the last installment - at which point I wanted to tear my eyes out).

Revenge of the Nerds is drop dead hilarious and, despite what you might recall, its much better on DVD than on reruns on TBS & TNT because there is a fair amount of 1980s cursing and nudity that makes it... well very 1980s!

Of course, my favorite scene is the crescendo where the nerds jam to a song that features an electric violin, break dancing, the robot, etc. So FUNNY! In fact, there is a 2006 Revenge of the Nerds in the making!
