It was a short mini-series of hour long episodes on NBC in 2004 or 2005. It had a good cast and great writing and spot-on acting. Sadly, I don't think it was ever renewed, so we'll never know what happens with the ominous ending of the series. Maybe they'll do a Firefly thing and make a movie that rounds it all out? NBC recently merged with Universal, so it wouldn't take much to turn it into a movie, so hopefully thats what we'll see.
Till then, its basically about a man whose daughter was kidnapped and killed by Satanists because they needed a virgin. So he casts off his faith in God. A nun that has seen some heinous activity going on recently tries to contact him for help against an unknown force of rising evil. They join together and search out explanation for why things are fouling up as they are and nearly lose their lives in the process. A great story and it'll only take about six hours to watch all of them, so give it a shot, you won't regret it.

The movie shows some true shocking footage in the beginning to peak the interest... that is short and actually felt later had nothing to do with the actual plot only to portray the end of the world.
The acting was meant for TV or a TV series for it seemed circa 1980's and not too sophisticated. Kind of hard to sit through because was difficult to stay with it.
One scene shows the nuns and fathers in the room with a young girl who is speaking Latin who can not move... brain dead and her life signs go still and the priest tell the medical staff that they CAN NOT go in right now and they were filming her speaking Latin. Hmmm, realistic???
So, it was interesting... but a bit on the innocent and nickel dime budget. If you have time to sit out a series like this and your cable is out and all you have is a DVD player. Okay. If you believe that we are in the end of days right now... and you want to be scared... and feel it will bring you closer to Jesus... Okay... but otherwise... Just go to church and pray... I think it will work better than watching something that is hokey.

A GREAT MOVIE ABOUT THE EVENT COMMING BEFORE THE COMMING OF CHRIST. A MUST SEE FOR EVERY ONE THAT IS THE LEAST BIT CURIOUS. THIS IS THE REASON I BAUGHT IT. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS.

I wanted to own this DVD to keep for myself and to loan it to friends that were also interested. Was very happy to win this item and it arrived in great condition. The shipping was fairly priced and it was delivered quickly.
