Used to watch this as a kid and was happy to find it on here for a great price! The movie seems a little more scary to me now that I'm older which makes no sense but I think I just understand whats going on more.

Bought the movie for my girlfriend. She loved it. Return to Oz is definitely not for kids though. The movie had a very dark and eerie feeling. The characters are WAY out there.

This version of the Wizard of Oz feels like you are on an acid trip.

Most people don’t realize that there are many OZ books to read.
This is a wonderful highly stylized book with a darker edge than the MGM movie.
This movie really has nothing to do with the Musical.
If you’re expecting an OZ part 2 musical this is not that. This movie stands on its own as a work of art on film.

This is a great Sequel to Wizard of Oz. It has new characters and new adventures. I saw it years ago when my son was small....and have searched high and low for a copy to own. I was thrilled to find it through eBay...was able to 'buy it now' and waited anxiously for it to arrive. Young or old will enjoy this one...and I am happy to finally have it in the Fantasy catagory of my personal Video/DVD library.

Although it cannot compare to the original, 'Return to Oz' is an epic in its own right. It has a much darker & twisted tone this time around but sadly no flying monkeys. Dorothy must return to save Oz and help herself at the same time. She will have to make new friends to find the old ones. Any fan of the book should love this movie. This is a must have that is fun for the whole family. I loved this as a kid and still love it now. 5/5

My kids love this movie. It's strange to see Fairuza Balk as a child after having seen her in other films as an adult. I didn't realize this movie was so old! Family friendly, albeit slightly scary to some kids (there's a lady who removes and exchanges her head for one of several others).

I remember watching this when i was younger but the only part I couldn't seem to get out of my head was the guys with the rollerblades. I think they might have frightened me a little back then lol. Well i mean what can i say...Shipping was fast and it was new in the package for a reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

Many people are under the impression that this movie follows the books more closely than the original Wizard of Oz. This is untrue--Return to Oz combines the second and third Oz books and takes several liberties with the content therein, namely adding the beginning of the movie and changing things around so that it focuses on Dorothy rather than princess Ozma, which makes sense. I mean, if you're watching this movie you'd probably rather watch Dorothy and not some weird princess, right?

Anyway, this movie is awesome, but you'll have to watch until Dorothy gets back to Oz before you'll like it. The beginning they added where Dorothy is in Kansas about to get electroshock therapy is extremely depressing and too frightening for little kids. After that part, the whole movie is a treat for the eyes, and much more appropriate for little kids, at least in my opinion.

The special effects are done by the Jim Henson team, with Brian Henson playing the part of Jack Pumpkinhead, and boy are they awesome. There is a lot of stop-motion claymation that looks really good, and several animatronic creatures like the Gump that are really well-done.

It doesn't follow the books exactly, but I've read them and love them, and I think this movie is great. It may be too scary for little kids, so watch it first to make sure it's not too much for any kids you want to show it to.

dark ominous and freaking creepy it has a tim burton feel to it, Dorothy is crazy locked up in a mental facility when she is magically phased back to Oz, but things in Oz have changed the emerald city has been destroyed and the yellow brick road is gone, all the munchkins have vanished and the lion tin man have been turned into stone, will dorothy be able to restore everything? obviously lol

Seller is a champ! Shipped quickly & item was just as described. Movie surprised us (since we didn't catch it at theater screening. Remembered its existence just after viewing a local stage performance of Oz that incorporated some scenes not found in the original motion picture. The WOZ and Return were both good in their own right but it would be unfair to compare.

My 21 year old daughter loved this movie as a child. She wanted it bad, but felt it would end up being silly. Well............it was silly, BUT she still LOVES it. Cannot wait for her one year old to enjoy it.

I bought this for my kids. I saw it as a child and loved it! Great imagination to whoever made the film! We have watched it at least 20 times. SERIOUSLY!

Kids will love this movie, especially girls age 8. It has a hint of scariness with a hint of imagination and suspense. Old movie but should be a classic in everyone's home. I watched the movie at a kid and couldn't stop thinking about it and I'm 30! I finally found the movie and now i'm sharing it will everyone. Must see.

this was one of my favorite childhood movies, it brings back great memories.me and my brother used to run home from school to watch it, i used to read the book and then have wierd dreams about it. who ever likes this movie also, has great taste in movies i can tell u

When Dorthy returns from Oz.. Can't believe its a Disney movie, kinda creepy, but very cool. Faruza Balk (The Craft, Waterboy) is Great!

I remember watching this movie as a young child and absolutely falling in love with some of the characters, and being terrified of others- just like the "Wizard of Oz." I can't tell which is worse, flying monkeys or the wheelers! The story follows (a much younger) Dorothy back to Oz for a new adventure. She arrives in good spirits only to find that many things have changed for the worse, including the once beautiful yellow brick road that is now in pieces. She must save the Princess Ozma to help Oz return to it's former glory.

I'm 28 and this movie takes me back to my childhood taking you to a even crazier fantasy land of Oz, but still the orginal is my favorite. Kids would love this sequel to the Wizard of Oz!!

This is one of those movies that you watch as a child and remember for the rest of your life. It has so many interesting scenes and characters. 15 years after watching this movie for the first time I still love it and my six year old nephew loved it too. It's a great family movie that can be watched over and over and not get old.

If you like always wanted to know what would happen if Dorothy ever went back?
Now you,ll know. So many new interesting friends and enemys.
The move is a bit more dark than the first, but it will get you hucked.

I have always loved this movie. I'll be honest, some scenes are pretty scary for kids...especially the Queen Mambi scenes. Definitely not for the very young! Overall brought back tons of memories and I still love this movie after all these years! I still can;t believe that Dorothy is played by Fairuza Balk from The Craft!

Return to Oz has been the hardest movie for me to find! No matter what store I looked in around the local area around me, no one had it! I guess this movie wasn't as popular as the first Wizard of Oz. Most likely because it has a darker air about the plot and there is no dancing and singing. Ever since I was younger I've loved the new characters introduced to the plot. Tic Toc, Jack, Belina, The Knome King, Mombie, the Wheelers, etc. I suppose this movie was more realistic to me than the first movie because Wizard of Oz had a bubble gum happy with everyone acting cute, unlike Return to Oz. The plot line of this movie was very well thought out and made perfect sense. :) I love it!
