The disc is excellent because it covers the more "progressive" early years of Rush and some fans are mainly fans of this period of Rush's career so that is why I would recommend, even though I like all phases of the bands existence. Some notable tracks are missing (Working Man, A Passage to Bangkok) but overall it's a great value and fantastic music too.
I guess the product is ok - for a greatest hits kind of format.I do not like writting reviews so this may not be any help to others. This is a good cd to give to someone who does not know Rush's music as there are several cuts off of several albums. I do not like re-mastering and I do not like remastered products- but I guess that is technology for ya. I do not support "bootleggers" out to make a buck off of a Band's name and hard work.
Being a dedicated fan makes writing a bad review almost impossible. This collection though truly warrents an excellent review. This CD is a look back at the early days of Rush. This sometimes be a hard to find piece is a must for any Rush fan. It was intended to compliment the Cronicals Collection. If you know early Rush, you already know how great this collection is. From the masterful drumming of Niel, the blazing hands of Alex and the unmistakible voice of Geddy, this collection represents their early best. If you are a fan or know someone who is, buy this collection!
