I bought this book more out of curiosity than anything else. Flipping Through the pages was culinary memorabilia. Recipes from the 40's to the 70's along with beautiful photos on high quality paper make this book special. You may not make everything in the book but you will find a few items that bring back some nostalgic memories. Most of the recipes have been revamped for todays kitchens but you can still enjoy Cream-Filled Devil's Food Cupcakes, Brandy Alexander Pie, Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Banana Bonbons and even Baked Alaska, to name a few. One of my favorites are the Black and Whites.....cookies at their best. If you remember Rum and/Or Bourbon Balls they are in here also along with the Chocolate-Wafer Whipped Cream Roll mom use to serve to company.
