Great resource book! Great recommendations for greyhounds and other breeds. It helped to educate me on things like sleep aggression, health issues, and training in a simple and concise way.

Like any book for pets, only about 50% will apply to your specific Grey.

Your grey may not need to be crated (kept in a cage). It may like to 'graze' (eat when and how much it wants and still maintain a proper weight).

Love your Grey and never let it off a leash unless in a fenced area!

I bought the book Retired racing greyhounds for dummies a week ago and was immediately impressed with the number of topics talked about in the book. (history, training, behavior, grooming, and more) if you are familiar with the dummies line of books you know that they are easy to read, and understand. you can read one or two paragraphs put the book down come back to it and not be lost. they are short and very informitave. this one only has 255 pages from front to back. i would say this is a must have if you are thinking about adopting a retired racer.

This has lots of helpful information about these special dogs-- what their lives have been, what they're used to, what they like, need, quirks, food, play, handling. And if you've adopted one, it's got answers to lots of your questions.

This is a great book with a lot of information about greyhounds especially for a greyhound owner or prospective adoptee. Book was in great condition and received very quickly. Would buy from this seller again.

This book was required reading per our greyhound adoption agency. I can understand why they want people to read this book - it is extremely informative and a great reference tool. The book covers every subject you need to know regarding the adoption of a retired racing dog. Actually, I highly recommend reading this book if you are looking to adopt any dog that is over 2 years old.
