Resistance: Fall of Man (Playstation 3, 2006)

As Microsoft Fanboys rejoiced over Gears of War late 2006 and bashed every PS3 launch title they could it seemed nobody would trash this game... and still in late 2007 this game shows FPS fans what next gen games will be like.

Story:(SPOILERS)

Set in an alternate reality in which WW2 never takes place, an infection known as the Chimera Virus starts in Russia and envelops the entire continent. While rapidly spreading through Europe, England seems to think that they may be safe... Until the Chimera dig under the English channel and start their offensive. The United States is called in to help the British fight the Chimera in return for technological secrets that the Chimera possess. One American Soldier Called in Is Nathan Hale, the hero of the story... After being infected with the chimeran virus he has a immunity to he gains regeneration capabilities without mutating... With these biological advancements and a arsenal of human and alien weapons he takes on the Chimeran race to save the world.

Pros:

*Resistance: Fall Of Man is from the makers of the Ratchet & Clank Series (Insomniac games), needless to say the array of weapons at your disposal is truly awesome.

*The online gameplay via the Playstation Network is fluid, easy to navigate, worldwide, has hull clan support, and is very full of experianced fragmasters waiting to frag or snipe you. In fact, since I own both games I can truly say that the online play in this game blows gears of war out of the water... And its not even an XBOX live game.

*4 Difficulty modes & Skill points to be earned that can unlock online customization give the campaign mode lots of replay value.
