Resistance 2 (Playstation 3, 2008)

Resistance 2 is one of those games that manages to expand on its predecessor in every way. The single player is epic in scope and in story, which is practically worth the price of admission by itself. Then you throw in the extremely engaging co-op and competitive play, which expands on replayability in just about every way possible. Toss in a generous number of unlockables, Trophies and community support, and you've got a phenomenal experience. This is an exclusive that PS3 owners should be proud to have in their collection.

I have never played the first resistance, but a I bought the second installment after watching a gameplay video trailer at ign.com.
I was impressed from the start of the video to the end. For anyone that has never played either one, picture a medal of honor or call of duty but with way way better graphics and weapons. the levels are massive and intense. the enemies you face range from little grunts to massive 2 story house size trolls. the textures are beautifull and rich, sceneries are breathtaking. trust me this game will keep you on the edge of your seat almost all the time. the storyline is well thought out and the characters are in depth. one can allso take the fight online were you can play prety much all the maps you play in the campaign mode. im not sure how many players can be on at once but i have played with some buddies and its intense. in short anyone who like them a good fps, should definitly buy this game, trust me. just buy it

I have never been a fan of first person shooters until i started playing this game. Now I just can't get enough. Campaign mode lets you play the regular game of course.. then you can break away for a little teamwork (outside the main story line) with a host of other players. Or you can get crunk with the competitive mode and kill as many of them you want in a team effort or every man for himself. Great stress reliever with every head shot! So fun

Bought 2 weeks ago. Can't stop playing it. Up to 60 players online. Great to play. Love this game.

This is a pretty good game. It has good graphics and is fun to play. I would recommend this game to most anyone.

I've played the first one so I already knew the story line. If you haven't, it's ok because you won't be too lost in this one.

The Campaign mode is excellent! The story line and plot blend very well with the gameplay and it keeps you wanting to play more because you want to find out what happens. However, there is such a good use of the check points that if you only have a little bit of time to play, it would be no problem.

The Cooperative mode is very fun as well. Although it does take quite some time to level up your character, it is well worth it. The three classes are all fun and equally useful while playing. It only gets more fun as you progress through the game.

The Competitive mode is the bread and butter. The way everything is put together is near flawless. The maps are fun, and sometimes irritating, but that's what makes it so good. The many different kinds of modes are all fun except for Deathmatch, because the spawn killing is horrible. My favorite, and probably the most fun, is Skirmish because it gives you objectives to complete while still mass killing the enemy. The only overall flaw with Competitive mode is the game searching system. Sometimes you will look for a large game, expecting the big 60 person matches, and you only get like 20 person match. I've even read that some people will get into 10 person matches when searching for large games. I've also read the opposite where people search for small games and get into 20 or 40 person matches. It may get a little frustrating, but it doesn't deter from the gameplay at all.

Overall, Resistance 2 is one of the best PS3 games out there, and by far one of the best FPS games on next-gen consoles. Unlike many other sequels, it isn't just a clone with a different storyline, it completely revamps the game to make it a superior game overall.

I LOVE this game! I had already beaten, part one, and actually was unaware that 2 even existed. Then while browsing through games I came across it. This game can easily be given an A+. The graphics, the gunplay, the character roles, all wonderful. It is as good if not better than it's predacessor. I will continue to have a killer good time until I beet it. LOL. Than I don't know what I'll do with myself.

All in all, Resistance 2 is an excellent game. The stirring scale of the single-player levels is impressive and the pervasive details make them truly awesome. Despite the squandered story, blasting your way through the campaign is electrifying, thanks largely to the deadly weapons in your arsenal. The cooperative multiplayer is a resounding success, and the competitive modes are terrific in their own right. Anyone looking for a superb shooter experience need look no further than Resistance 2.

I have been waiting for the release of Resistance 2. Now that I have it all I can say is wow! I am certainly not disappointed. The graphics are great. There is a good variety of weapons. And you will have plenty of things to shoot at. Pick up your wallet and buy this game.

I purchased this game because I had just recently purchased a PS3 and had seen adevertisements for "Resistance: Fall of Man". I purchased both and recieved this one first, This games blows my expectations out of the water. The controls are perfect especially for having so many primary, secondary and alternate weapon abilities. Graphics are seemless with few to no glitching ( rare concidering the massive size and your weapon range ). A good rule of thumb is if you can see it you can shoot it. And you can see enemies as far off as your line of sight. The story will capture your imagination and is a great stand alone release. I haven't played the original but I am now interested in seeing how it all began. If you like shooters like Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Killzone and Dark Sector ( Weapon set up is a lot like Gears and Turok )this is a very good title to own.

It had arrived faster than I have expected, and the items is not broken. All for a very reasonable price.

I just bought this game and i have played it before and loved it so i decided to check ebay for it and what do you know i found it for cheap!! This game is one of the best first person shooters i have ever played. The graphics are pretty good, the story rocks and the multiplayer is amazing.

I would definetly reccommend this game to anyone that likes shooters.

The game itself is good, but the most fun is found in the online play!
Play as a team (co-op), or play against another team/individuals (competitive). Awesome! One difference between Resistance2 and the first game is you can only hold 2 guns at once - compared to all weapons you came across. It's a lot of fun though, and online play will keep me interested for some time.

This game is great.

The story is well done, and the single playing campaign is hard for what you would expect, which I liked. I usually start games on the medium difficulty, because I've been gaming for so long, but casual gave me ample challenge. When you do the hardest difficulty, though, it actually becomes easier than the second hardest. The bosses can be difficult, and the first time through, I had a large share of deaths.

The multiplayer is where this game really shines, though. The games that you play run parallel to the main story, and still keeps it believable. It adds a berserk mode, which gives you a special power of your choice for a limited time. Best of all, you can go online with splitscreen on the same PS3.

The co-operative campaigns give a great team experience. There are three classes, and you can choose a class depending on your playing style: healer, tank, or support. It's pretty difficult to make a team that doesn't work, as long as you have one person who can play their class well for each class.

The competitive is good, with 5 different styles of play. And with up to 64 people in a match, things can certainly get hectic.

I'd certainly recommend Resistance 2 to anyone who has a PS3, if they are looking for a solid shooter which will keep them entertained for days on end.

This game is a great game. If you want excellent online co-op and a wicked fun competitive mode, this is so your game. I've been hooked on it since I played the beta and I just bought a copy for my dearest. :)

I believe this game is better than the previous version. last version was boring at some points of the game. Game play is still very good.

Is different than your original shooter. Kept me interested long enough to finish the campaign mission. Bought to play online with my brothers. Worth the money.

Graphics are amazing. Gameplay is awesome. Overall, was a great buy. Its a great follow-up to original Killzone. I decided to buy because the first game was so fun to play. Im a huge fan of first person shooters and this is one of the best on the market as of right now.

I found this game for a really cheap price and it was new, was the game was shipped very fast i was not expecting it for a couple of days, so buy from seller he/she is very serious, and thats good!

R2 is a great shooter, the graphics are beautiful, and the gameplay is really fun. I think the multiplayer needs some tweaking, as it is quite the lagfest when i first started playing, but other then that its a great game.
